It's a little hole in the wall place, in the middle of Pak Kred. The owners had previously lived in New York for 16 years, many, many, years ago. So they bring their actual American culinary skill, and English language skills together, in their unique creation, "New York Diner." We've eaten there a few times now. It's in a nondescript building, directly adjacent to a wastewater canal, which can smell frightfully bad on hot days. With 3 parking spots in front, during weekdays you can usually find a place to park. Weekends tend to be busier, so parking can be challenging. Food is basically incomparable. It's real western food, usually fabulous, although they struggle with some basic western ingredients like avocados, bell peppers as they are mostly unavailable here. I haven't found anything on the menu that wasnt good, but note portion sizes are not western sized, they are Asian sized. Prices tend to run on the high side, so prepare to drop 800 - 900 Bhat for an average meal for 2 people. This place is geared towards tourists, so it's pricing is also tourist level. But after weeks of asian, asian, asian, a little western food is a very good thing. And the New York Diner is definitely near the top of our list for goto places to eat...
