Authentic Flavors and Easygoing Atmosphere at Ruemai Restaurant

If you’re driving down Sukhumvit Road in Pattaya, look for Ruemai Restaurant just a few hundred meters past Decathlon. There’s easy parking behind the restaurant, and you can choose to sit inside with air-conditioning or outside in a peaceful garden by a large pond.

The menu focuses on popular Thai dishes, all well-prepared and affordable. I had the beef curry, which had a nice zing without being too spicy — a great deal at 100 Baht with rice. I also tried the spring rolls, filled with minced pork and vegetables. They were crispy, tasty, and not greasy — three generous pieces for 100 Baht.

Everything tasted fresh and full of flavor. There’s also a cozy café called Better Butter on the same property, perfect for coffee or dessert after your meal.

Simple, tasty, and relaxing — Ruemai is definitely worth a visit.

RueMai Is A very well known and popular restaurant here in Pattaya, I've been to the restaurants many times and still enjoys the restaurant view of the pond and the food in the restaurant!

Since I recently visited during the pandemic, they have a qualified safety standards against Covid 19. All the staff are friendly and welcoming the customers which is pleasing to see and with a lot of staff still hard at work providing the best services towards the customers. There are many types of food you can pick from, ranging from noodles to bakery (a indoor shop inside RueMai calls "better butter").

Food was absolutely delish, though portions were kind of small for persons with ferocious appetite like mine.

Bacon cream and cheese beef pie filling are great. These pie crust were limp and can do with some improvements.

Staffers can't communicate in english, so will avoid coming forward to serve my table. The owner auntie will personally attend to us. Having 1 or 2 english print menu with large ordering numbers, will be most helpful for staffer and non native...
