We were getting gas next door and decided to grab a bite before we headed back to Khao Lok, and are so glad we did. We got an order of the shrimp curry and fried rice. The shrimp was very spicy, but packed full of flavor. One of the best we’ve ever had, and can see why it’s on the Michelin list. A cold coconut smoothie helped cool us down. The service was great as well. I have a nut allergy and the hostess spoke English well enough to help me get something I could eat. The restaurant was busy but we were able to get service when we needed. Wait wasn’t bad considering how busy it was. It was hot outside, but the shaded area felt nice and they brought us our own fan. Plenty of parking as well.

It's a Southern restaurant where every dish is super good. Even though they have a Michelin Guide Book endorsement, the prices are reasonable. They focus on using the freshest seafood, giving each dish a rich flavour. Some dishes might be a bit too spicy for those not used to heat, but you'll get the true taste of Southern cuisine. I recommend the Sour Curry with Fish, Fried Shrimp with Curry Sauce, Stir-Fried Pork with Gator, and Fried Fish Salad with Chaplu Leaves. There's plenty of parking at the nearby gas station. Just keep in mind that the place doesn't have air conditioning, and it can get warm on some days.

Michelin guide recommended this place for the last three years. Family owned and operated for three generations. It's located next to the PT petrol station on highway 4. The menu is in Thai and the place was packed with local Thais. The menu is a fusion of Thai and traditional Chinese cuisine. Some of the dishes we ordered were good and some I didn't care for. Being a chef myself I am very open minded when it comes to regional cuisine. In my humble opinion, the Michelin guide must have lower standards when it comes to South East Asia.
