A hidden gem with incredible food and a unique surprise! Mama’s Kitchen quickly became one of our favorite spots on the island. We loved walking there from our resort along the beach in the evening, and the experience was always magical. One of the most unforgettable sights was passing by a herd of buffalo from a nearby farm, standing in the shallow waters—it felt like something out of a dream! The food here was absolutely perfect—every dish was full of flavor, fresh, and made with care. We enjoyed it so much that we came back twice during our stay. The owners were extremely kind and welcoming, which made the atmosphere even more special. One of the most unexpected and fascinating things was what happened behind the restaurant. Instead of throwing away leftover food, they tossed it out the back, where hundreds of crabs were waiting to feast. It was like a natural crab farm, and we had never seen anything like it before! The restaurant has been recently renovated, and they also have a small shop with handmade crafts and other unique items. If you’re looking for a cozy place with delicious food and a bit of island magic, Mama’s Kitchen is definitely worth a visit!

Yesterday we ate at this beachside restaurant. With very few exceptions, this was the best meal of our trip up until now. The food is simple but obviously prepared with great craftsmanship. The restaurant i situated 10 meters from the beach and we enjoyed the sun setting, the good food and the very pleasant company of the chef and her two helpers. On our way home, our route along the beach was cut of by a heard of water buffalo, so we ended up being "scootered" home by the chef, who told us, that water buffalo wasn't dangerous but that it would be best not to pass them on as narrow a stretch as the beach. I would certainly recommend everyone in the area to go visit Mamas Kitchen to taste honest, well crafted local dishes in a charming setting

Food nice and good service. But 15 mins walk from sunset beach resort which in full sunshine is a bit too much. Also prices here the same or for some foods and drinks more expensive than at sunset beach resort. Yes it's worth going here once for a change but honestly once is enough.

Mama's Kitchen is our favourite restaurant on this entire island! Food is cooked with best and always fresh ingredients. In everything served I can taste the love which is used while cooking - you really can taste it! The whole family is involved in the business and that makes it a perfect experience for everybody who wants to taste Thailand. And when you have questions about Thailand you can ask and you receive very valuable information. We learned a lot! Having dinner and watching the sun fade into the Andaman sea is unique. Food you can have spicy or less (european style) spicy, or you can enjoy several Thai dishes vegeterian, if you like. Drinks are also very tasty and fresh!...
