I'll start this review with the atmosphere because the way Pam has created her resturant around her garden is absolutely beautiful. This is a reason alone purely to visit.
Secondly the service, by far the best greeting and service we've had in Thailand in the 8 days we've been here (7 more days to go) from start to finish every member of the team was attentive and made our evening special (they did not know it was our honeymoon) every table in the place is beautiful no matter where you are seated.
Thirdly the food. Where do I start, its hard to explain the culinary journey Pam can take you on. There's obviously the dishes most people will be familiar with (which will be cooked to a high level) but go out your comfort zone and order (ANY, CRAB DISH. stir fry chilli paste ( Thai hot)
Their massam curry (ask for thai hot) was to literally die for.
Price - (if you're not ordering a banquet like we did) you could easily get dinner here for 250 -1000 baht depending on how much you want to eat.
We had loads of food, load of cocktails and were pleasantly surprised at the bill.
(Sadly we didn't make it to desserts after ordering 4 mains between 2)
Review wise, this for me hits in top culinary experiences that are a must try if you have the opportunity to do so.
Smashing into the 9s in incredible fashion with a 9.6 out of 10.
Best in Thailand so far, out of a good dozen spots we've tried.
This is a must hit spot if you're...

MY review is for the restaurant.
The location is somewhat comfortable and reasonably pretty.
WHEN we arrived, the place was completely empty but somehow, we couldn’t get seated without a reservation. We were allowed to eat after some back and forth and their “revelation” that the first reservation wouldn’t arrive for another 90 minutes…
FOOD was okay but not special in any way. Pretty westernized and catering to the one-flavor expectation of the average tourist. No Asians eating here at all. None of the food had any depth to it (we had 3 appetizers and 6 mains). It came decorated nicely and was presented lavishly but that’s about it.
SERVICE was friendly and well trained; however, we ordered 2 “Signature Cocktails” that are made with “sparkling wine” but turned out to be just white wine mixed with Sprite. It tasted like no one has even tried… we returned it and the manager wanted to charge us since “it wasn’t their fault.” Well, sure wasn’t our fault either.
DECIDED to end dinner at that point and left.
NO idea what the hype about this place is, except maybe that their prices are fairly low. I guess you get something for your money but...
Read moreWe ate dinner at Pam's on a Friday evening and went back the following Thursday for a cooking class, as the dinner was fantastic.
It was an incredible 3.5 hours spent with Pam for the cooking class. She picked us up at our resort and drove us to the local market 20 minutes away. At the market, she took the time to walk the stalls and talk about local Thai produce. Not just the ingredients needed for the 4 dishes we picked from her wonderful menu, but anything we had questions about. We spent about 25 minutes walking the stalls, talking with merchants. Photos were a must. Once the ingredients were gathered, she drove us to her beautiful restaurant. Her tables are in her gardens, which are meticulously cared for. We then spent the next hour under her supervision while we prepared our 4 dishes. They were Massaman curry with beef, baked pineapple rice with chicken, fried shrimp cakes, and fried white snapper with tamarind sauce. It was a delightful experience, especially because you get to sit in the garden and enjoy the meal. The skills we learned working with Pam will come in handy when we replicate our efforts back home. It was a pleasant drive back to our resort. I wish I could give more...
