Sire Beachfront Restaurant — Restaurant in Phang-nga Province

LOCATION is very good, right by the beach. You can sit inside, outside or in between. Tables are comfortable and spacious.

FOOD caters to both typical Western expectations (burgers, steak, fries, etc.) but also offers a variety of Thai food. While the Thai food is not the best Thai food I ever had, it is definitely above average. It’s presented very nicely and and is always served fresh. Had 0 complaints when eating here.

SERVICE is very good. The staff is extremely patient and friendly, alas the language barrier is not insignificant. Orders can get chaotic quickly if you need to substitute or have special requests. While it can get tiresome, the staff is not indifferent about it and tries really hard to accommodate everybody.

PRICES are a little above average but this is a beach front hotel restaurant that holds itself to a higher standard in service, quality and cleanliness so I am happy with it.

BOTTOM LINE, in this area, it is definitely the go-to restaurant even if there are plenty more restaurants farther in-land of which few, if any, can compete with the overall package SIRE delivers. It’s easy to rationalize going somewhere else to save a few bucks but in my opinion, not worth it, at all. I had an experience recently that felt quite disappointing. The staff seemed a bit inattentive and didn’t quite grasp what customers needed. It would have been nice if they checked in with us about our food to see if it met our expectations. Given that this restaurant is part of a resort, one would expect a higher level of service.

I ordered a fresh orange drink, but it arrived with syrup instead. When I asked the waitress if I could change it to a fresh one, she said OK but unfortunately, by the time we finished our meal, I still hadn't received it. Rating is 3/5 for food ONLY if you make alterations to your order. If you order food as it is, it’s good. Do not ask for the La flora burger without cheese sauce .. all the sauces seemed to disappear including the mango avocado salsa. They came back saying it’s all in the cheese sauce. When I asked for the cheese sauce combination on the side, plain cheese sauce came out 😂

Otherwise they are fab. Quick to take orders. Staff are very efficient at clearing up plates after you.
