Krua Khao Kho — Restaurant in Phetchabun Province

If you value your time, dont come here. We arrived at 7:02pm, and the last dish came after 8:30pm. We had a car accident prior to coming, and our insurance guy came from Phetchabun to Khao Kho (75km) before the food arrived. No jokes.

We ordered - fried rice, basil chicken, grilled chicken, omelette and grilled pork neck. These are dishes that should not take more than 10-15 minutes even in a packed restaurant.

When the food came, it was average. Stay away from the grilled pork neck (คอหมูย่าง). I've visted over 30 provinces in Thailand and it was easily the worst...

The food was very fast and taste really good. They have a lot on their menu that's signature. I dropped the ball on this one as a reviewer because I did not get a chance to take any pictures of the food. When it came out, I tasted it, and just Dove right into eating. The owner is very friendly and can speak fluent Chinese, helped us recommend some great dishes! Food may take a while to prepare for big group, but with a nice cold beer around that's nothing to complain about :)

Tom yum goong was really spicy... Even for a Malaysian like me~ but it has a really authentic Thai taste!

2 downsides of this place to be aware of, toilet has no paper need bring own, and the food comes out very... VERY slow, so please...
