Puang Phet: Phetchaburi's Thai-Chinese Classic Puang Phet is a highly popular, long-established Thai-Chinese restaurant in Mueang District, Phetchaburi, where the food is consistently as delicious as ever. The location is ideal for travelers: it’s an easy, non-complicated stop right after turning off the southbound highway and heading into Mueang District. After your meal, you can easily continue your drive straight to Cha-am. This spot is usually packed, but on this Friday afternoon visit, there was no queue, and we were seated immediately (the staff were still quickly clearing up, as if a war had just ended!). The kitchen is fast, and the dishes are served in large portions with plenty of ingredients. Prices are fair—not cheap, but certainly not outrageous. The Tofu in Red Gravy was tasty, but one minor observation was that the gravy quickly lost its viscosity. The Hoi Jor (deep-fried crab meat rolls) were a perfectly enjoyable snack. Parking is easily found around the perimeter of the restaurant. Very delicious Chinese food and thai spicy main dish. No air conditioning. Quite active staff. Old buildings. Free Parking lot not too far from the restaurant. Price is for bangkokian. Affordable for big city people. Fresh seafood and all ingredients. Big portion of food....

We arrived around 1130am, before lunch peak, got a table easily, no queue. We ordered the signature dishes. Sea bass was spicy but very fresh & one won't stop eating despite its spiciness. It went very well with rice. The squid stuffed with porkie (3 flavours squid) was very delicious too. And not to forget the glass noodles with few big prawns & the fried crab meat rolls. One plate of rice was enough to be shared for 2 of us. Overall a very pleasant meal & the food were above average!...

Authentic Thai - Chinese restaurant in Phetchaburi. Long history of this restaurant but still popular until now. Pad 8 saint ( Pad Paed seian ) is my favorite. Hot pot are also good. The most popular menu is Pla duk talay pad cha ( Stir fried Sea Catfish with chili ) which is spicy please be careful. They do not have it everyday please check with the restaurant.
