Update 1 year later: everything is just as good and consistently good.
Their tamarind prawns are the best we’ve ever had. Shrimp fried asparagus and stir fried lump crab with spring onions had similar umami sauces and were both excellent. Breaded shrimp was great. Scallops in butter excellent.
Mixed vegetables with oyster sauce had a delicate sauce (but too much mushrooms and peppers for my taste). Disappointing fish with lemon (this is a world class dish with lemon, garlic and chilli when done right, which seems less and less).
Recommended by a friend, it’s a rather ugly set of buildings with ample parking. We sat in one of the open air spaces. We read in another review that there is an extra charge to sit in the air con rooms but the temperature was pleasant throughout this January.
One of our visits was a Saturday lunchtime which was very busy with large family groups but the food was just as good as when quieter. Always very busy at weekends but quiet on Sunday evening. the only time the food has been less than stellar - the chefs must...

We ordered so much food and everything was beautiful. My favorite was the shrimp donut (tod mun goong) - sweet and savory. The chili lime squid was nice and chewy. The shrimp glass noodle was my second favorite dish because the flavor was good, but the shrimp at the bottom of the dish was over cooked. The crab fried rice was really flavorful but there was a lot of crab shell inside which killed the vibe. The pla tod nam pla (fish sauce deep fried fish) was delicious, especially with the seafood sauce. The crab was prepared in a way that removed the shell so we could eat easily, and the spicy sauce made it great.
There are also delicious coconuts, full of good coconut flesh and tasty coconut water. Highly recommend this place!
There is plenty of parking across the road. There is both indoor and outdoor seating, and the indoor seating is air conditioned. Bathrooms were a bit gross and I got bit by some mosquitos, but it...
Read moreIf you are looking for a seafood restaurant next to the beach then this is not one, but it was breezy in the evening when we came for dinner, and we sit right in front of the pond. Again, have to say that the pond has also seen better days as they do not look that good nowadays. Still, you get the feel that it must have been THE seafood restaurant some years ago.
Food is also cheaper than in Cha am beach, for baht 180 we get a full plate of scallops in shell, the river prawns were done well, baht 350 a kilo with 4 big prawns. Vegetable dishes are very reasonably priced too. Fresh coconuts, baht 40, icy cold and juicy. Dining ambience may not be the best, but...
