Departing from Bangkok, in under two hours you can engage in a meaningful act of homage to monks, savor coffee, and then stumble upon delectable cuisine at Sun Moon eatery. Right from the moment you step out of the car, contentment washes over you, immersing you in Thailand's ambiance. The establishment, a weathered mill warehouse, and the centuries-old wooden houses lining the quaint river contribute to the immersive experience. : Yet another noteworthy attraction in this locale is the opportunity to embark on a voyage aboard the ancient Mae Nam Noi cruise. For those seeking a century-old cruise experience, the establishment offers a meticulously organized cruise, allowing you to pay your respects to the Buddha, behold the serene beauty of the natural surroundings along the gentle river, and delve into the historical tapestry of Ayutthaya. : Turning our attention to the culinary offerings of the restaurant, it's worth noting that the cuisine presented here is an authentic representation of ancient Thai gastronomy, a rarity to encounter. Beginning with appetizers such as Chor Muang, golden bags, Sarong pork, and bed hunting, the flavors are tantalizing and delightful. The main course offerings are equally impressive, featuring dishes like Ho Mok Bua Luang, all thoughtfully prepared and presented to satisfy...
Read moreToday I am very unhappy with the dinner staff. We started dinner around 6:20 after boat trip as a package. Around 7pm the staff started to check with us what to pack when we are not even in the middle of our dinner. He kept coming to check when we are leaving and reminding me restaurant closing time. I’m very uncomfortable with his manner which made my guests couldn’t enjoy the food and dinner in a easy mood. I spoke to the staff that I’m not happy but he kept coming to do this and that signaled me he was eager to have us leave as soon as possible. This is the worst dining experience I had in Thailand. I’m curious how you could get Michelin recognition with such service. I messaged to the restaurant and got a message replying they are sorry and will improve and hope I could visit again. I doubt I will do it again. I used to be your loyal customer in last three years and brought my visitors from other countries quite a few times as a highlight part of my hospitality. I spent 13000 thb over 2000 thb per person for such a disappointing experience which embarrassed me in front of my important guests. Apologies in words is easy but you can’t get my trust back by simply...
Read moreMy boyfriend had planned a VIP afternoon cruise at this establishment, and the experience was absolutely wonderful.
Everything was perfectly arranged, from the pre-cruise communication to the reception, the cruise itself, and the restaurant. A little tip: come hungry! Upon arrival, we were offered Thai desserts while waiting for the boat. On board, several snacks were also available, and drinks were unlimited (Coke, water, orange juice, wine).
The staff was incredibly attentive, respectful, and caring. We had the option to step off the boat to visit temples or simply enjoy sightseeing from the river.
After the cruise, we were treated to a restaurant experience with a generous and diverse selection of dishes.
The staff even took photos of us to capture the moment.
And the highlight of it all… I left with my fiancé, not just my boyfriend, because he proposed to me on the boat! A perfect and idyllic moment, despite the rainy weather.
An unforgettable experience that I...
