Hin Lek Fai Restaurant — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

This is literally the worst restaurant I've ever been to in my entire life. If I could give it negative stars I would. I've traveled America, Europe, and Asia and eaten in thousands of restaurants. Hin Lek Fai will always stand out as the absolute worst dining experience I've ever had. By a lot. The owner is rude, arrogant, impatient, unappreciative, and just plain unfriendly. The restaurant is far out of town, small, hard to find, and mosquito infested. The food is bland, overcooked, overpriced, and borderline inedible. I rarely walk away from a meal and we left at least half the food on the table. There is a chance the absolutely terrible owner had something to do with spoiling the entire experience but even if you paid me I would not go back to this restaurant. Worst. Restaurant. Ever. Terrible location, terrible food, terrible service. You could pick literally any other restaurant and have a much better meal and experience, especially in Hua Hin. Avoid...

Superb food, great character running the restaurant.

The maitre'd who runs the restaurant is an amazing character, and the food is a top notch mix of Thai and Italian classics. If you are in Hua Hin, I strongly recommend checking this place out.

Be warned, though - the owner has a role about using mobile phones during the meal, do if you get caught, you may have your phone confiscated for a few courses and replaced with a wooden puzzle - it worked wonders for our dinner party and the bored 13 year old we had with us. Great ambience, service and above all, food. Very reasonably priced for freshly cooked authentic Italian food. Thai food was also on the menu. I had the Gnocchi together with Salami pizza both of which were delicious.
