Restaurang Ranchen — Restaurant in Prachuap Khiri Khan Province

Great western (Swedish) food, good staff lovely atmosphere.

My Thai daughter felt like steak/western food, after a few weeks of us all enjoying local Thai food, and this restaurant was recommended to us. It was fantastic food, proper steaks on a wooden platter with mashed potato and a lovely sauce, we also tried the pizza and seafood salad (again western style). All of it was excellent. I expected to pay far more then we were charged for the quality of food served, so yes it costs more then local Thia restaurants serving mainly rice and chicken dishes, but you are getting Steak and high end western food. we all had steaks + loads of side dishes + a few drinks and eat like kings. The cost was around £13 / e15 / baht580 per person. So more then other local restaurants, but for me still...

Last night, in my opinion, I had one of the best pizzas in all of Thailand. If not....THE BEST !!!  I have lived in Thailand full time for 12 years and have traveled ALL over.  I now live in Chiang Mai and Huay Yang.  I am from the USA, do not fault me for that. I am more Thai now.

Was sooooo happy to discover this Pizza.  What made it even more decadent was dipping it in the infused olive oil.

Ranchen is truly a Restaurant, not just an oversized bar where smoking is allowed ALL over. People can smoke in the Bar area.

They bake many types of Bread for takeaway.  My favorite is the Sour Dough.

AND.....what other restaurant has an AED ....(Automated External Defibrillator) ???  Amazing !!! Thank you !!!  I look forward to...

Being huai yang, it's one of the more expensive ones, it compared to big city prices they are more than fair.
