Came here 3 times during our stay, mostly because it was the only option.
Atmosphere: it was really quiet so didn’t have much “atmosphere” but giving it a 5 because the view was fantastic.
Food: presentation I give a 5, quality of the dishes a 3, value for money a 2.
Service: these are based on the experience for me (English speaking Australian) other may not have the same issues as me depending on background.
Communication 1.a: this is probably the toughest one and I do give some leeway as I am in there country but all the staff spoke very little English. As mentioned I am in there country where English isnt the main language but given you work at a hotel which would have a high percentage of English speaking guests, I feel it is something very important. Everywhere else in Thailand we have been, it hasnt been an issue. 1b. This might be due to the above but we had a multi-course dinner, the dishes were not communicated to us what was what.
Ordering: 2a: you are given a qr code for ordering, which is fine, we have them in Australia, but navigating it was very difficult, you could put translate to English on but wouldn’t work half the time.
2b: when ordering, you can add note for dishes. For the set menu we asked for no chilli or minimal chilli, every dish was loaded with chilli making all the dishes really unenjoyable and inedible. If they dishes couldn’t be adjusted, we should have been notified and been able to choose something else.
2c: as mentioned before, you order using a qr code. You submit your order then they receive a order receipt. We order some drinks, it took approximately 12 mins for them to receive it then another 10-15 to make them. If they came and just took our order it wouldn’t be an issue, especially when there is only 1 other person in the restaurant.
This is just more of a comment on the who but, firstly not including vat taxes in the cost is annoying and paying a service fee when you do your own ordering so they are doing half the work.
Id say go for the view, go for a cocktail as they were actually really nice and only eat if...

✨✨✨We came to Plearn for a romantic birthday dinner and found the place more beautiful and tastefully decorated than even in the pretty pictures published on Google, nice surprise!! ✨✨✨We were seated with a breathtaking panorama view and very comfortable seats. ✨✨✨Service is extremely friendly, responsive and helpful. ✨✨✨The food is excellent and originally presented👏👏 👏
👉👉 We expected tapa-size portions, but they were much larger, which means we ordered quite a bit too much 🤣☺️
Remarks to the management : 1 ➡️ Please train Plearn’s personal more thoroughly to BASIC English (🙏) so they can explain the dishes, the menu, and a little bit about the tradition/region/philosophy… to us guests. This can be expected in such a high standing (&pricy) culinary establishment. Example: We expected small portions and ordered everything in the same time to share. Well-trained staff would have cautioned us and asked if we really wish everything simultaneously or one dish after the other. As result some dishes were already half cold when we got to taste them. That is not a mistake by the waiters but lack of training and overseeing staff-management. This is our main remark and hopefully an easy point to improve🙏.
2 ➡️ please change your remote payment device. Our three Apple-wallet credit cards failed to pay. We had to go downstairs to reception, which was a very disappointing 😟😔way to finish the evening. Again an easy point to improve 🙏.
Overall wonderful impressions : We definitely look forward to be...
Read moreI have visited today the Plearn Restaurant. The staff were very professional and attentive. The food was delicious and the views stunning. Most probably i will be heading back there soon or later. I do have though a recommendation as i was really disappointed when i asked for sparkling water and it was not available. In such places offering only soda is not adequate. Furthermore, we had 2 coffees, one cappuccino and one espresso.....the coffees were not good at all. A new coffee machine or barista training is a must. The coffee in both cases had too much water and you could see from the moment that they serve it that the coffee would not be good. I drink 4 to 5 coffees a day and the crema was not as it should be (nothing to do on my liking). The above constructive comments are for improvement. I would like to repeat that the food was very tasty and decorated very nice. On the other hand though in such a fine dinning restaurants small details make big differences. To the readers of the review, give it a go, the sofas are comfortable and they are positioned perfectly fine by the window. It would be good move if they good offer day pass (pool is huge and they do have a gym that i have not...
