This place wasn't open often while I was here, but I managed to make it happen The menu here is interesting, this fully vegan restaurant has a very curated selection and the menu also has some fun Christian propaganda that I happen to think is cool. We got the banana blossom salad, and my partner can't refuse a Tom yum so that too. The food seems healthier than usual, and I feel here that that's the point. I'm gonna guess that this place is family owned and operated The banana blossom was incredibly diverse in texture and flavour, I highly recommend it for anyone who likes Thai salads. The Tom yum was very healthy, as opposed to the usual flavour intense soups you typically get, this one felt like it was made for comfort and sustinece, would recommend for anyone who likes more of a brothy soup with hearty veg chunks. It's likely because it's made from mostly raw herbs and spices rather than a paste Based on the banana leaf salad I knew I had to try the som tum. It did not disappoint. The flavour is so pure, "I didn't know I needed this kind of tamarind in my life", my partner could not stick to the single bite they planned on. Highly recommend Even the mushroom satay was good. We couldn't stop eating the satay, it was inspired. Would highly recommend. I think this is one of best Thai vegan experiences I've had. At the end I spoke to the chef/owner and she said this is there last month as they adopted a child 🥲 On our second and sadly last visit, we tried the massaman curry, which was really good, better than most, highly recommend. The Kao soi was quite good as well, I've only had a couple that were better, would recommend. The after flight salad was great, although I wouldn't recommend it to anyone who doesn't like gotukola in a salad

I recently visited Thailand for the first time, which included a few nights in Phuket. On the day I arrived, I googled for vegetarian restaurants, and found Reach Vegan about 2 blocks from my hotel. I am so happy that was the closest option! This charming cafe is run by the kindest, most welcoming people. And the food is DELICIOUS! On my first visit, I asked the owner what her favorite dishes were, so I could try those. And she happened to name two that looked the best to me on the menu, the Khao Soi and the pumpkin curry, so I had that. She asked me the most hilarious question: "Do you want it Western spicy or Thai medium?" HA! I'm sure when obviously American people like me come in, they are more hesitant about spice than most, but I LOVE spicy! To be safe, I asked for Thai medium. The food was PACKED with flavor, and not too spicy at all. I went back the next night because everything was so good, and once again had the Khao Soi, which has a broth that made me want to pick up the bowl and slurp down every drop. She was so perceptive that, remembering me from the night before, she asked, "Would you like it Thai spicy tonight?" I laughed and said yes. I also had the chuchee curry. Both were JUST the right level of spicy, leaving my palate a little buzzed. Yum! This cafe is so warm and delicious all around, from the food to the people running it. I'm so grateful I discovered it. When I am lucky enough to return to Thailand again, I will make this a must-visit spot!

We dined here and signed up for a cooking class with Tan the next day. The food was amazing—flavourful, light, and authentic. We learned so much from Tan about healthy, vegan Thai cooking! Tan was kind, patient, down to earth, and so knowledgeable. Her team and family were also so kind and lovely. She taught us so much about the usage of healthy ingredients and techniques that can be easily integrated into daily cooking. The ~3 hours we spent at her restaurant was the best way to spend our last few day in Old Town. Tan’s love and passion for cooking and teaching shone through her food and techniques; it’s so rare to meet people like her who are dedicated to not only discovering alternative ways to experience traditional flavours, but also sharing her cooking philosophy widely. From the preparation of ingredients to the flow and timing of the class, everything was so well planned and kindly adjusted to fit our schedule as we didn’t have much time before we had to leave Old Town. It was truly an unforgettable experience and we’re excited to go back for another class in the future and hopefully visit her farm where she grows fresh ingredients used in the restaurant. I would highly recommend stopping by even just to try the tasty dishes, but if you have time for a cooking class, you definitely won’t regret it! Just note that you will need to sign up at least a day before you plan on attending a class so that they have time to prepare ingredients.
