Homemade Pizza & Steaks Ban Chang — Restaurant in Rayong Province

Dr. Dave makes a decent burger. this joint has an extensive western menu, including some decent looking pizza. my first time out i opted for the Dr. Dave burger (bacon, cheese,jalapeños)with crinkle cuts, though. i also got the bottomless pepsi for 53 baht. they were a little stingy on the fries, but the burger meat has a good flavor, and overall it’s a good burger.

Seating is comfortable. several large tables and air con inside. Two tables for outdoor seating. bathroom is upstairs. men’s bathroom had no soap. Passed by the kitchen on the way to the John. it looked clean and well-maintained. the staff was friendly and helpful. VAT included in price and no service charge. nice.

I can’t comment on the food unfortunately because the price drove me back out of the store. It might be amazing pizza, it would have to be world renowned for the price! We decided to eat at a fancier place and have two great dishes with drinks for the price of one small pizza here. They have 4 sizes: extra small 7” prices around 250฿, small 10” price around 350฿, Medium 14” prices around 600฿ and large... you get the picture. I would say it’s too expensive because of the type of town it’s in, and the type of establishment. It is air conditioned, but that’s hardly reason to charge almost triple what other great pizza places charge. Most people will never know how good the pizza here is, but maybe that’s how...
