The food is super good. The taste of sourness with spiciness is at the satisfying level. However, the flavor of Tilapia with coconut milk is not my preference as it was quite thick and creamy. Quite sweet too. Not my liking.
For Thai spicy deep fried catfish salad with rice vermicelli and fermented fish sauce is quite rare to find one. Very interesting and somehow very tasty. Recommended to try.
Thai spicy 2-color corn salad is superb. Sweet and sour like it should be. The spicy grilled pork salad is also great! It’s super soft and juicy. Quite easy to chew. Deep fried chicken - no need to say anything. Just perfect!
There are lots of parking space provided inside but quite narrow if you got the side parking. They also provided you the cover for front window to protect your car from the sun....

The herb is too strong, but I do love the chicken on both the original the one with the spice they bought flavorful andtender, as for the somtum itself personally I ordered the less spicy version of it, and I love all of them, the fried one, the one with the salted egg and the original one you can see the price in the receipt picture that I post and you can charge it by yourself whether this is expensive or cheap or it’s OK for you, but I think...
Read moreBaan Somtum has many branches and its is one of my comfort food. Papaya salad can find from food stall on the crowded street to the more hygienic one here. The sauce and ingredients are clean and of course spicy. My extra special dish is the grilled chicken with makwaen (herbs). The succulent chicken with the aromatic scent with sticky rice is very nice. Another one is the Todd mun hua plee or deep fried banana blossom dipping with the sweet chilli sauce. The prices are little higher but I think it’s worth to come and try.
No booking in advance but you might need to wait for the table during peak times.
The branch in Sathon, as I recalled, used to receive Michelin guide. Now it disappears but the food...
