This is probably one of the nicest, most local experiences that you can find as a tourist. It's a slight travel out of the main Bangkok city, but if you're on your way to some of the attractions like we were, then this makes for a perfect pit stop along the way.
Fresh seafood, especially their cockles platter, the seafood otah, and the crab omelette; all with a local twist. You're even able to see the chef cooking and making your food, just by standing at the carpark. Super enjoyable meal all in all, and super affordable for this much food!
Find a corner table by the waters, and enjoy the seabreeze and village life pass you by, peacefully and calmly.
All meals here also come with a short ecotourism boat ride out for free, to see the sea-farmers and their sea mussels, and the random-feeling Phra Klang Nam shrine. Read moreThe food at Jeng Krua Shai Thaley was truly delicious, with fresh ingredients and great flavors, all at a fair price. The location is about 8 km from the resort, making it convenient for a short drive or ride. One of the highlights is the free boat service provided by the restaurant, offering an amazing opportunity to explore the nearby sea. The boat trip includes dolphin watching, which was an unforgettable experience, and a visit to charming small houses built on stilts in the middle of the sea, adding a unique cultural touch to the outing. The staff was friendly and attentive, ensuring we had a wonderful time both at the restaurant and during the boat tour. The peaceful seaside atmosphere and scenic surroundings made the overall dining experience exceptional. Highly recommended for anyone...
Read moreNice restaurant with a good sea view. It is a relaxing open air space so you can feel the breeze. It's not near the main viewing area so if you like quiet spaces, then this is ideal. Since it's far from the viewing area, the place is not as frequented; the space will get pretty dark as there aren't lots of lighting but the restaurant space still has adequate lighting.
Food is pretty good and not too expensive. The price tag might be high but portion sizes are sufficient and you can walk away paying 200-300 baht per person and being full. The seafood is fresh, but I found it a bit too salty perhaps too much MSG? They have a variety of dishes and their recs are quite good. Ask for less spicy if you don't have...
