We were really nicely surprised when we arrived here.||||The pace has a really nice feel to it and it was friendly and quirky.||||It was a shame that although they had blackboards out on the street advertising food, they said they didn't have any food the night we were here. There are not too many other places around to eat but we found On's and their food was terrific so we were actually glad we didn't eat at Cliffs in the end.||||The bedroom at the front was very big and spacious but a little dark. But that's ok - it lent itself well to the decor with the lovely furniture. The bed was a little hard for us but as we were only here for one night to wait for the ferry so we could withstand that.||||The bar downstairs did seem to stay open quite late so just be aware if you are a light sleeper as noise from the bar did carry up the stairs to the bedrooms||||The shared bathroom looked great. ||Until we came to use it at 7am the following morning. There was no water at any of the outlets - sinks - toilets - shower. We could not flush/shower/douche/clean our teeth. Anything at all. Although my partner went downstairs to report it to the chap who slept in the bar area, when we got down there he had gone back to sleep and ignored our request to turn the water back on.||||The 2 lads who run it are really characters and into their Bob Marley! They were actually really nice chaps but even though they were all charm the evening before with promises of assistance to get to the ferry the next morning, when it actually came down to it, we were let down on this point and had to hail a taxi on the street. In itself that was not a problem, we just wished they didn't make promises they couldn't keep.||||Although we really liked this place, we felt that the 2 hosts enjoy the bar side of running it, far more than they enjoy the other aspects of running a guesthouse. ||||If you just want a place to sleep and to hang out in a bar and make friends, then this is the place for you. The flower-power B&B has a fantastic atmosphere!||||Each of the 12 bedrooms is decorated in an individual style, featuring traditional Thai furniture, beautiful paintings on the walls, and maybe even a little Buddha on your nightstand. The shared bathrooms are decorated with beautiful driftwood pieces and creative art hand-made by the owner. ||||The open-air Art Cafe in the backyard is the perfect hideaway: Lush tropical greenery, bubbling water fountain, bamboo wind chimes, colorful pillows, reggae music… What more do you need to chill out?! Kitchen is open from 7.30am to 10.30pm, starting with a proper English breakfast and serving traditional Thai food during the day. And if you feel like chatting with your friends back home, there is Wi-Fi throughout the entire B&B.||||The owners, Cheer is the perfect host he will pick you up at the ferry, treat you during the car trip with a juicy pineapple, remember that you like your coffee in the morning extra strong, and even organize a Thai Massage for you: Performed in a cozy Sala underneath a canopy of colorful saris, with spicy incense in the air, and lounge music in the background, the skillful kneading and stretching is a bliss! ||||Ladies can get their nails done at a nearby Beauty Parlor. Although self-taught, the beautician, Koy, is so talented, she could easily get a job in any five star Spa. There are not many shopping opportunities in Satun.
