I write this as I sit in a beautiful jetty type searing area on a lake full of coi carp, regreting that I have to leave today. Normaly when I write a review I wait a few days after leaving the place but This is one the very few times I have not wanted to leave a place. The resort is amazing, John the owner speak Dutch, German, Thai and English. He is very freindly and helpful. He and his family run a top place, After all my travels in Thailand I think this is the first room I have had where its practical well laid out and everything works. Its the little attention to details such as plug sockets beside the bed, excellent AC, and fitted wardrobes. There are two types of accommodation here, you have the luxury Rooms where I stayed and there is also separate bungalows. I had a quick look in the bungalows and agin they were to the same standard as the rooms. |The seating/resturant area was amazing and again well thought out with fans in the sealing and good lighting. The menu has a big choice of western and Thai food. All the meals my freinds and I had were amazing and we had no complaints. Its nice on an evening having a drink and food with freinds as the sun sets and hearing the sounds if nature come alive with frogs and crickets. Every Saturday and Sunday they have a thai singer who comes and peformes he is excellent. Again the attention to detail was excellent we were getting bothered with Mozzies so John lit the deterent rings for us which solved that problem. There is alot of places to visit around here aswell. I will leave reviews on their locations. John also has 2 motorbikes and a Toyota forerunner fornhire at very good rates. The swimming pool is well maintined and regular water checks conducted which is good to see and rarely seen in Thailand. |Overall I have really enjoyed my stay here, John his family and staff were amazing. They were always freindly and attentive. I cant find any faults here. I just wish I could stay longer and cant wait...

We visit this area annually to see family. Previously we have "made do" with other local guest houses which has made it a bit of a chore||Pongsin Resort has been a great find this visit. Comfy beds, well tended gardens, nice pool, friendly staff, great surroundings. Other people have said it, but a real oasis.||The owner and his family are readily on hand to assist if needed.||A choice of thai and western food at reasonable prices.||We stayed in a standard room and would have preferred a bungalow, but they were booked. The rooms are basic, clean and beds are COMFORTABLE. Mentioned this a few times as always expect to sleep on a mattress that feels like concrete... but not here.||We were woken on the first morning at 6am, 6.30am,7am and 7.30am by other guests coming in and out of their rooms and loitering in the hallway, the hallways are noisy, maybe some carpet and curtains?? Second morning was fine. That did not spoil a really relaxed, peaceful few days.||All in all and great experience. We'll be...
