Been here once. 1st and foremost, it is halal. You can eat all you can here. You are given a grill and a hotpot. The price is considerably cheap for that unlimited buffet. But please remember, an unlimited buffet is not a ticket to waste food. Take what you can and eat what you could. There are still many people out there who cannot afford to eat.

You could choose beef, chicken, seafood such as prawn, tiger prawn, sea bass, clam and others. No marinade for the seafood, bare grill it or just throw it in the hotpot. For the sea bass, you can ask them to grill for you. For the meat, it was slightly marinated, and there are also options for plain meat. After all, meat will be dipped in sauce.

There are also ready made dishes such as fried rice, noodle, fried chicken, nugget and fries, as well as some malay cuisine. There are also a few counters for dessert, ice cream and vege, somehow i didn't try it. I came here purposely for the meat and seafood.

For the taste, i think it is okay but not the best. If you are a meat / seafood goer who only eat for quantity and not the taste, this place is a perfect choice for you. You can just become a machine and eat everything the hell out. I recommend you to try their fried chicken and banana egg crepe, that's the best for me here. Don't put drizzle (condensed milk) on those crepe, eat it plain, it was light and good for after meal.

For the premise, i consider it is as acceptable but not really clean. I guess there is always an upside down in everything, cheap price and not clean, while expensive one is cleaner. There is also a prayer room here as well as toilet. I didn't try both but the toilet seemed a bit of a nightmare from the outside. Free unpaved carpark is provided. If there is rain this carpark will get muddy and messy.

Overall, a cheap affordable buffet, an okay taste, a variety of seafood, unclean premise. If you come to hatyai for the 1st time, it is a must to try. For me, once is enough, I will look at other places next time. May come here again if I wanna be...

Khlong Hae Buffet Seafood Halal is a popular buffet restaurant in Hatyai, Thailand. It is known for its wide selection of seafood, as well as its affordable prices. The buffet includes a variety of fresh seafood, such as shrimp, crab, squid, fish, and lobster. There are also a variety of cooked dishes, such as stir-fries, curries, and noodles. For those who do not eat seafood, there are also a variety of meat and vegetarian dishes available.

The buffet is priced at 298 Baht (about US$9) per person, which is very reasonable for the amount of food that is available. The quality of the food is also good, and the staff are friendly and attentive.

Overall, Khlong Hae Buffet Seafood Halal is a great option for those looking for a delicious and affordable seafood buffet in Hatyai. Here are some of the pros and cons of the restaurant:

Please note that this review is based on my experience and personal preference.

Food: Overall food is average. Quality is slightly below average.Hygiene is questionable.

Seafood choice is limited. 2 types of prawns, 3 seashell, 2 fish. And the fish & squid is cut in big sizes which makes it hard to cook over fire. They have few slices of fillet which is not label and thus not sure if there are fish or any other seafood.

Cooked food is not labelled either so as tourists you might end up guessing or worst still take and not eat them. Leading to waste of food.

They don’t cover the food thus flies free to fly & land.

Tables too small for 2 bbq/steam pot to be places on it though you might be alone or a couple. The heat from the pots is real which eventually contribute to the smoky environment. Definitely not a place if you have respiratory issues.

Service: You can’t find staffs to help you clear table when it’s full. Even if we want to throw the shell/bones of the food ourselves, there is no rubbish bin or used plates shelves. End up messy on the small tables.

If you don’t like smoky, crowded, chaotic & below average food, this place is not for you.

Partly the patrons have to behave & be responsible by taking right amount of food and not waste them, walk in orderly manner rather than...

If you are visiting Hatyai, then this place is a must to visit. It offers halal buffet at a very affordable price. The entrance fee for an adult is Thai Bath 299 which is around Ringgit 38. The dishes are plenty to choose from. From salt grill Siakap or Barramundi, an assortment or fresh seafood like Prawns, Sea snails, Kupang/Lala, cut fish meat to prepared dishes like soup, stir fry beef, chicken, fish, eggs and more. You can also BBQ it on your table or steam it. This place has been open for 7 years now and quite popular among Malaysian judging from the car’s license plate at the car park provided. You can also get here by TukTuk at around THB100 from your hotel. Prices may vary depending on the distance. Ask first before you board the Tuktuk. We stayed for around 2 hours here enjoying the food. The best thing is that there are no time limit impose like other establishments. There is also surau provided if you want to perform your solat. All in all, the food is very tasty and eat less rice and more of the meat available. It’s open from 2 PM until 10:30 PM as stated on the sign board outside the restaurant..

It's a big place, with lots of seating area. They dont just serve barbecue, there are also ready served meal such as fried rice, fried kuey teow and plain rice with few dishes. The dishes are constantly being top up as they ran out. There are multiple selections of meat and seafood that I cannot find in my home country and there are 2 ways of cooking them. There are desserts and somtam too, its all DIY including the somtam. Drinks bar are right opposite of the meat and seafood section, the desserts, ready served dishes and somtam are next to each other. Quite reasonable price for eat-all-you-can Adult: 289 Baht Child: 179 Baht (based on height) The downside are the heat, it's super hot and you will be all sweaty once you're done. As for the somtam, I wish they have some guidelines on how to make it. I didn't know how, so I didn't have them in the end. P.S. There's a good Kongsi Tea booth right outside of the restaurant too if you need a good drink. As usual, I'll go for the classic cream cheese chaiyen (milk tea).
