AJ Grill - Burgers, Pizza, Salads, Wraps, Pasta เอเจกริล เบอร์เกอร์ พิซซ่า สลัด แร็พ พาสต้า — Restaurant in Sukhothai Province

It was ok. Pizza was not pizza we would crave, sorry but even the big chains are better. The crust resembled phyllo dough more than a pizza dough. Sauce was ok. Toppings and cheese are what you would probably find at Makro, not necessarily a good thing.

We also had the burger. It’s definitely not worth what they charge. It says it’s a double patty, but let’s be honest here, the 2 patty’s combined would equal one average size patty. Barely had any veg. The bun was average. It’s definitely better than the pizza, but compared to what you get in BKK or any other place in the world, it’s very much overpriced for how good it is and the overall burger itself. I’m honestly finding it impossible to find good pizza or burgers in Sukhothai or Phitsanulok. I know it’s hard to find great ingredients up here, but it can be sourced from BKK, especially for the price that’s being charged for these things here.

The woman, which I am under the impression that she is the wife of the Australian cook, and her mother ( I could be wrong, just a guess) are very nice and gave great service. So it’s hard to be so critical, but this is a review of a restaurant and not a personal thing. Sorry wish we...

I usually don’t write reviews. Because i think 90% is fake. But for AJ’s i’m going to make an exception.

The food is great here: fresh pizza’s, fresh hamburger buns, a perfect ceasar salad, good hamburgers. Wow. Also not expensive. We were craving for “western”-food (with 2 kids on the road, so yeah), and we could indulge easily at AJ’s!

All the toys for the kids were also a good bonus.

So, if you are up for western food in Sukhothai, AJ’s is the place to go!

Ps. Just one minus:...

When travelling for 2 days straight and in need for comfort food, this eatery served us well.

If “western” food is more your thing when in Thailand, then come here.

We had the chicken quesadilla and penne and both were oiveky in flavour and filled the spot.

Service was friendly, one spoke perfect Engiish, the other not. Towards the end service was lacking a little from the non-English speaking server. Either way, not an issue.
