Kui Mong Restaurant — Restaurant in Suphan Buri Province

Local restaurant with a long history. Had a Saturday lunch here with colleagues on a trip. No queue on my day. The dining area and toilets were clean even though the place was an old style Chinese restaurant.

A self-service sign was there to inform customers as there were limited numbers of waitresses. Service staffs were okay but in a rush.

Food quality was wonderful, the quantity was average. The salty-sauce stir fried River prawn was the best dish. There were many sizes to choose from 800 to 2000 THB per piece. Fresh and creamy head was bursting in my mouth, amazing feeling. Other recommended menus we tried, Fried frogs, stir fried pork, fish meat Thai basil, some river fish dishes, were tasty too.

Recommended, worth a trip for the salty-sauce stir fried giant...

Clean and vintage vibes restaurant that make you feel like taking a time machine back to the 70's.

Famous for their stir fried gigantic river prawn with salt, 3 size for selection (pretty pricey price of 1000 thb each, 1200 thb each, and 1500 thb each).

Termite mushroom also a highlight here (450 thb/ dish) I love it to stir fried with oyster sauce.

Also Pla Ma, the local river fish. Normally I ordered deep fried Pla Ma with garlic but this time I change to steamed Pla Ma with soy sauce. They cook in a very traditional Chinese style on top with pork, shitake, and ginger.

This place usually crowded on the weekend and service will be super slow. I would suggest to visit here weekdays.

ร้านอาหารเก่าแก่สไตล์ไทย-จีนในอำเภอบางปลาม้า ราคาค่อนข้างสูง แต่เป็นราคามาตรฐานที่ทางร้านขายมาตั้งแต่ไหนแต่ไร เพราะคุณภาพความสดใหม่ของวัตถุดิบท่ีทางร้านคัดมาขาย

นอกจากเมนูกุ้ง ส่วนตัวชอบเมนูเห็ดโคนของร้านกุ่ยหมงมาก โดยเฉพาะเห็นโคนผัดน้ำมันหอย รสชาติทานกับข้าวพอดีมากๆ

และเมนูปลาม้า วัตถุดิบขึ้นชื่อในอำเภอบางปลาม้า ปกติจะสั่งปลาม้าทอดกระเทียมหรือต้มยำปลาม้า แต่รอบนี้สั่งปลาม้านึ่งซีอิ้ว ร้านทำมาแบบตำหรับจีน มีหมูเจี๋ยน เห็ดหอม ต้นหอม ขิง อร่อยแต่รอเมนูนี้นานมาก

โดยรวมแล้วที่ทานมาตั้งแต่เด็ก ร้านยังคงอร่อยเหมือนเดิม เพิ่มเติมคือมีลูกหลานของเจ้าของมาช่วยทำต่อแล้ว และ คนค่อนข้างเยอะช่วงเสาร์อาทิตย์ ทำให้การบริการอาจจะช้า และเมนูยอดนิยมอย่างกุ้งอาจจะหมดได้ แนะนำให้ไปวันธรรมดา...

4 huge prawns-grilled + boiled Pla-mah + stir fried bok choi with prawn + tom yum with big prawn + deep fried fish stomach... = Bht.4300 (This is good for 4-5 adults.)

An old restaurant (93 yrs. old, inthe second-turn-third generation now) serves neither cheap nor expensive, in my opinion, Thaii-Chinese fusion food. The taste is great!!! Service is as good as a local restaurant can be (+ the toilets are better than we expected.)

Overall ...it's great choice if you are gonna pass by Bang pla mah area! (Esp....
