The resort is incredibly beautiful and the breakfast was among the best breakfasts I’ve ever had in terms of quality of food/service/vibe, so many wow factors at breakfast. We had high expectations for Jahn but unfortunately it didn’t quite deliver. The view is gorgeous and we watched the sunset over the 5 islands as we ate. The scallops and Prawn/Pomelo appetizers were great. Prawn/pomelo was probably our favorite, the sauce was quite tasty and the prawn was cooked perfectly. I would skip the squid appetizer. It was chewy and at one point I thought the consistency was similar to bubble gum. It was also suppose to be charcoal grilled but I got no charcoal flavor. I wanted it to be smoky and more crispy, but it was chewy and flavorless instead, quite undercooked. I ended up swirling it around the Prawn/pomelo sauce for it to taste better. For main entrees we got the miso halibut and lamb rack. The halibut was bland, we had to douse it in more salt and pepper. I think it needed more sauce, without a Thai sauce it tastes like any other bland fish you get at overrated seafood restaurants. The lamb chops were good, not great. I also needed to cover it with more salt with each bite. Also not crispy enough. The sides were OK, the French fries were actually the best one, it was quite crispy and salted just enough. Hilton Diamond status also gave us 25% off the bill. Service at Jahn was excellent, but we were the only ones there so anytime we needed something they were very fast about it, and also very friendly service. Do not skip out on breakfast while at Conrad Koh Samui, but you...

We stayed at the Conrad Resort and dined at the Jahn restaurant while there. We both decided to try the taste of Jahn menu opting for the beef option rather than Seabass. Whilst the food was tasty neither of us were blown away by what was put in front of us. The presentation of the food was classy but the menu felt a bit confusing as we worked through the menu and was very easy to get lost with what was going on, though this could have been us not following what the wait staff were telling us. The wagyu beef and Tom yum goong were the highlight of the meal and extremely tasty, however the rest of the meal was a little bit of a sideshow. Whilst the Wagyu was tasty there is a bit of an odd moment where they pull a hot iron out to quickly further sear your meat. Without any real explanation this was extremely odd and I am still left pondering why this was! The tempo of the meal was at times a little off, we moved very quickly between a couple courses and then slowly through the others which was an odd sensation when 'fine dining' We may have been a bit spoiled by our trip to Bo.Lan whilst in Bangkok where for the same money we felt the experience far surpassed Jahn so pop by there on your way...

A Fantastic Dining Experience

I had the pleasure of dining at Jahn Restaurant in Conrad Hotel Koh Samui, and I cannot speak highly enough of the overall experience.

The ambiance is wonderful, creating a delightful atmosphere, and the view is truly fantastic.

The halibut fillet was outstanding, complemented perfectly by delicious side dishes. The meat dishes also showcased impeccable quality.

The service was exceptional – both friendly and professionally executed.

I applaud the Jahn Restaurant team for delivering a superb dining experience. The combination of exquisite food, stunning views, and impeccable service makes it a must-visit. I look forward to returning...

Brilliant resturant. We did the "set menu" Tasting of Jahn, their signature degustation menu. Cost THB 5200pp with paired wines. Attached photo of our steaks being finished using a hot iron lol. Followed by Elephant Black Ivory coffee (the elephant version of Luwak coffee - 1200 THB serves two, made in front of you in the nifty syphon brewer pictured). Views great, service outstanding. When doing one of their two set menus they will pick you up from anywhere on the island, which is usefull since the hotel is about as far from the rest of the islands attractions and resorts as its possible to get. Probably the most expensive food on the island, but worth it as a honeymoon treat!
