Latitude 9 cafe — Restaurant in Surat Thani Province

A lovely little hidden gem among beautiful greenery. The place is run by a super-nice family who always welcomes us with smiles and hospitality. The cafe has a really cool interior, with two swings where my wife and I usually finish our visits. The family own several adorable cats that chill around the cafe.

We usually go for the “breakfast set” which comes with a perfectly fried German-style sausage with bacon, eggs of your choice, buttered toast, and a nice little salad (incl. coffee and juice). It’s very affordable.

Their coffee is good and they also offer an assortment of homemade cakes that are really tasty.

There’s games around if you feel like playing something while sipping on your coffee, and it’s a perfect place to work from too. Take a seat, enjoy the chilled vibe and cool surrounds, and your creative juices will start running in no time.

My family and I stopped here for lunch when we were down south. It would be a great place to stop if you were going to Muang 1 waterfall. Such a cute cafe surrounded by trees and plants and the interior is well decorated too. Between us we had spaghetti carbonara, pad krapaow moo, salmon and rice and chicken nuggets and fries. All delicious. We also had to drink: caramel macchiato, chocolate and banana smoothie (wow!) and a berry shake (Also wow) The prices are very reasonable. Wishing now we'd taken some cake away with us as they all looked really good. There was a cat begging for food but the staff saw and moved her away. Good clean tidy cafe selling lovely food at reasonable price. Owners speak good English and have a very friendly cat. As I see it their biggest challenge is the remoteness of the venue, but I say to you take the time out to visit. (Samui is a beautiful ride/drive whichever way you come from.)
