Rafflessia Restaurant is an absolute gem in the heart of Khao Sok's jungle. The food is incredibly fresh, flavorful, and made with local ingredients — a perfect blend of authentic Thai dishes and tasty Western options. Every meal we had was a highlight of our trip. The staff are all local, super friendly, and genuinely welcoming, you can really feel the warmth and care in the service. The setting is truly magical, with a beautiful view of the river and lush jungle all around. Super disappointed.

Came here with my partner for a date night as we had read some good reviews and the view of the river was supposed to be stunning.

While the view was breathtaking, the food was absolutely abysmal. We ordered pad Thai and a soup and it was the weirdest and worst pad Thai I’ve ever had. Seemed like they just drowned the world’s chewiest noodles in sweet chilli sauce. There were a total of 4 precooked, frozen shrimps in the dish. The saving grace was the lime as it helped distract from the sweet chilli flavour.

The soup we got just tasted like white pepper. Otherwise totally flavourless.

Thai food for tourists and I don't mean that in a good way. She asked if we wanted spicy and we said yes but our soup and entree came and we're very very bland. We asked her for chilli and received dry spice and fish sauce.
