This restaurant caught my attention because I love seafood (and have visited many seafood places before).

Upon arrival, the place looked neat and clean. The staff was friendly.

However, there was an issue with our order. We were initially assisted by a lady who was called away, after which another staff member took over in the middle of our order.

As a result, dishes we hadn’t ordered were brought to our table. We immediately returned them and informed the waiter that they were not part of our order. (We had written down the numbers of our selected dishes.)

The food was nicely presented and looked fresh, but the taste of some dishes was disappointing. Additionally, the price-to-quantity ratio was on the lower side.

It wasn’t bad, but we had expected more.

At checkout, the incorrectly delivered dishes were still included on our bill.

If you're not paying close attention, you might end up paying too much. I believe in people's honesty, so I assume this was not done intentionally.

However, it did put a damper on our initially...

We stopped by for lunch. We were looking forward to some really good seafood. Our meal, while decent was not really a stand out in any way. We were a bit disappointed to be honest. We were expecting more of a situation where fresh fish would be on display and would be cooked to order. While there were live crabs in a tank there was no other obvious signed off fresh seafood. The squid with garlic and chili was pretty simple -fried squid with fried garlic served with a side of the same sweet chili sauce sold in grocery stores. We were hoping for something at bit fresher and more unique. The mango and sticky rice was pretty good. Service was friendly but there were some communication issues. Prices were pretty high for what was on offer. One big plus at the end of meal however was that they offered us a free ride back to our hotel. That was really appreciated and a...

I recommend the blue spot grouper sashimi. Chinese style steamed grouper also very good. The Thai style steamed grouper was also good but not as good as the Chinese one imo. Crabs in all permutations were good too. Oyster omelette on hot metal plate thing also nice — the oyster is dangling from the dock the restaurant is built on. The veggie dishes are cooked very well especially kale. The coconut ice cream is really nice not too sweet. The staff is really nice and the place has a good vibe and nice view. Kind of think everyone who goes to Koh Mak should eat here at least once before they say some chicken green curry they had is the best Thai food on the island. C’mon people….

In two weeks ate here at least ten times because it was the best restaurant by...

The restaurant is located between the mangrove and the harbor. We arrive by 12:30 during October (low season) and we were alone in the restaurant. We ordered scallops in butter and herbs, very tasty, squid tempura (surprisingly it was crispy and tender) and shrimps with the tamarind sauce. The shrimp is fried but the shell had been removed. It was good but slightly to cooked. We ordered one portion of rice. We had a big size Leo and a seven up. As a desert we took the local coconut ice-cream that was very good and not too sweet. It came with peanuts. For the two of us the total came to 1200B. It is not cheap but worth the price. The restaurant provides a free ride back to your resort.
