Montview Koh Chang || มองวิว เกาะช้าง — Restaurant in Trat Province

When we first arrived to Koh Chang, my partner and I booked a room at Mont View for a few days and after deciding to stay on the island for another month we went back and stayed here for the whole month of April. That was the best decision we could have ever done!

We cannot recommend Mont View, the owner Nui, her mom, her husband and her beautiful dogs enough, they went above and beyond our expectations, the place truly touched our hearts and we were left with memories for a lifetime..

Nui is a specialist in the island and will know absolutely everything you might be interested in doing, while your here and she gladly invited us to share dinners, drive with her when she was going somewhere or just for shopping.

The accommodation is located on the quiet east side of the island, very private and calm, it feels like you have the place to yourself, the rooms has everything you would need, comfy solid beds, cold AC, warm/cold shower and the coziest balcony where you every night will see the geckos come out for hunting, it’s just like watching a movie and we would find ourself spacing out just watching them. The shared common area has good seating areas with free coffee and tea as well as a fridge for you to use. Just around the place you will find restaurants (delicious thai food) small local beaches and scooter rentals to go around the island and explore.

We cannot wait to be returning to this hidden gem, on this stunning national park island! Thank you so much Nui for everything, we wish all of you the best till we see you again! Biggest...

I can’t even begin to explain how incredible this accommodation and restaurant is!! Best pad thai and fried rice I have had in Thailand!

We stayed originally for only two nights but extended due to loving it so much! Felt like home away from home. The accommodation is very comfortable with amazing air conditioning. The common area is very welcoming with free tea and coffee and a little fridge to pop some items.

The owner Nui went above and beyond for us. Gave so many recommendations for the island and showed us some traditional Thai treats.

The cooking was the best we have had in Thailand yet! Incredible portions and a very good price. She had a special of fried rice one night and we are obsessed. Nui was even able to package up some pad Thai for us before a long trip we had which was so sweet of her.

Going to miss Nui and her puppies so much! We will be back...

If you are looking for affordable, adorable, clean and cosy room on the east side of Koh Chang don’t hesitate and book Mount View!

We spent on Koh Chang eight days in total. Four on west and another four on east side of Koh Chang.

I recommend you to explore also less touristic east side of Koh Chang. In my opinion The Long Beach and beach close to Ko Chang Memorial are the best beaches on this island. Another thing is that from there you can rent a kayak and make a trip to Ko Ngam which is also amazing.

East side has even more to offer! For more info about hidden gems ask the Host. She is the best.
