Salak Phet Seafood & Resort — Restaurant in Trat Province

Found the restaurant through google maps and as we got there, we found the place enormous and gorgeously decorated. The food was delicious and the restaurant offered a variety of seafoods. Only complaib we had was that our team was the first to arrive but there were several local people who made reservations beforehand. So it seemed like our food was prepared last and it took ten minutes for fried rice with crab meat to come out and 20 minutes more for other side dishes to come out. So we grew tired of waiting and almost finished eating rice even before the side dishes came out. Also we ordered fried shrimp which never came out and we waited for 40 minutes after ordering the food. So when we further inquired of the food, the staff said they didn't prepare the food, so we cancelled it. It seemed they didn't process the order properly, and there wasn't any sign of apology or excuse. We understood we had to wait a long time because of the reservation guest but as guests visiting Koh Chang Island for the first time and looking forward to a high reviewed seafood restaurant - we were quite disappointed especially the service of the staffs. Nonetheless, we look forward to visit the place again in the future, and hope to see the restaurant...

This resort boasts a very spacious open-air waterfront restaurant, where you can enjoy your meals with a gentle sea breeze. Even on scorching sunny days, it remains very comfortable under the restaurant's expansive roof. The resort is situated at the opposite end of the island, and transportation isn't very convenient; it takes a considerable amount of time to reach it by road from the ferry terminal. The dishes here are exceptionally fresh but come with a slightly higher price tag, so you should be cautious when ordering. Seafood prices are divided into two categories: some dishes are priced per serving, while others, like steamed blue crab, are priced per 100 grams. Therefore, it's important to carefully check the prices before placing your order. Some guest rooms are directly built on wooden platforms over the sea, offering a stunning view as soon as you open the door. Overpriced (but in range of Koh Chang price standard),but delicious Thai seafood restaurant.

The food itself are delicious as they're packed with multiple flavors in each food, and their ingredients are pretty fresh because the food source (seafood) is right next to the restaurant in fish cages that you can simply walk to while waiting for your food

I'd recommend squid, shrimps, sea bass, and spotted grouper (if you're rich) menu. They did a good job at turning these seafood into pretty delicious meals, but the price is kinda expensive as it's located on Koh Chang (Chang island), which are generally expensive by itself plus this place is also a resort which also generally charge more for food.

The atmosphere is the best part of this restaurant, as it is located right next to the sea, and contains multiple fish cages you can simply visit, and observed groupers fish from above.
