This restaurant had mobs of Germans and other western tourists coming in, so clearly at least they enjoy it. As a western tourist who knows Thai food, I was annoyed to have waited so long for clear service (did they get my order?) to only get my food not as asked and not properly cooked.
I asked explicitly for gaeng kiew wan cooked to the Thai recipe 'ped mak'. The English speaking staff confirmed If I'm sure I want it 'very spicey'. What came was a curry with no spice and loads of MSG which wouldn't be necessary if they used a real curry paste. This one must have been a highly processed or powder style.
Shrimp spring roll was undercooked and like a soft goo inside! They never asked how the food was and I couldn't easily get their attention.
Overall a total waste of 300thb.
It seems no place in this country will respect that some 'Farang' know what real thai food is and yes, we can...
Read moreStopped for a quick dinner. Staff very friendly, food was quick and very affordable. My dish was really good. I had the stir fried kale with chicken and added an egg on top. Only 10baht to add egg. There was lots of meat and everything was cooked well. The egg was perfect, crispy fried on the edges but the yolk still yolky. Restaurant was clean and well lit. They also have a very large Som Tam selection, probably the largest I've ever seen at a restaurant. So if you want some papaya salad this place should be...
Read moreSuper good and homely food. We enjoyed ourselves there.
The somtam with salted egg, chicken wing, and pad thai are to die for. Highly highly highly recommended. The cheese balls had a great cheese pull. The egg with minced pork and rice was super tasty, and the shrimp with basil and rice was great too.
We also got the pineapple shake, mango shake, and banana shake. All 3 were good.
Overall a really chill place to eat a...
