Arrived to have breakfast at 9:28a and placed our order (for 2 of us) within 5 minutes.

After 47 minutes - yes 47 minutes - we inquired about our order only to be told there was a staff shortage and we would have to wait another 5 minutes. At this point, I felt compeled to issue an ultimatum that if the order wasn't brought within that time, the order should be canceled. It took another 7 minutes to arrive and the food was too salty, cold and poorly served. Without an apology even. We curtailed dining at this point and took away the food to feed our pets.

Well, on further inquiry, it seems that diners were in the same queue as telephone orders and I don't know what business model is employed but it is a poor one that has sit-in diners wait 50 plus minutes for service, competing for service with non-diners at that.

The restaurant name alone does give the impression that it is a fine establishment after all, eh? It's not and I shudder to think what would lunch or dinner experience be like.

Not somewhere I expect to return neither...

Really friendly and welcoming servers. The food was served hot and tasted great, prices are comparable to other similar venues. It's a small footprint though, probably holds 18 to 20 at the most - seated. The parking is acceptable with more room available on the empty lot to the side. The coffee however is my only point of contention, slightly on the bitter side but then again I'm not much of a coffee fanatic, so to each his own. That being said there are cold coffee and teas etc to fulfill all tastes. There is a small stock of coffee/ chocolate and home made stuff for sale at the back of the seated area, in a well presented format. The place has AC, windows are tinted and most importantly WiFi! which is a given for a small java/deli café. A worthwhile visit for a small bite to eat or to just chill with a drink. No Alcohol products are sold here and the...

Original review (2023) Breakfast potatoes were incredibly boring with no taste. The customer service was nice though, was serviced by a middle age lady. Disliked how we were informed to park across the road on the grass as they said they preferred those that dine in to park there and those that come for take away to park in front the store, which I didn't understand.

I went specifically because they said they had vegan pancakes, I was treated as if I had fabricated this information and all staff said they never had vegan pancakes. Just to update y’all, when scrolling on Food drop late at night (they were closed already) vegan pancakes was there boldly on their menu 😒(updated Nov 2025 to include food drop screenshot as again I was made to feel as if I made up this...

An elegant and comfortably-styled café. We were in the area running some errands and decided to pop in. We were greeted at the entrance and seated. We ordered a quick bite, which included: 1 Blueberry Danish 1 Chicken Puff 1 Butter Pecan Latté 1 English Toffee Latté The pastries were delicious. The lattes were satisfying, but the toffee and butter pecan flavors were not distinctive. The overall cost was $117.00. The customer service was good in terms of their efficiency. With regards to warmth and friendliness; those were lacking. I surmised that the staff members were possibly having a bad day as they didn't seem to smile at any of the guests while there. Overall, it was a good experience. I look forward to visiting again soon to try items from their breakfast menu.

I absolutely love Vanilla Bean Gourmet. The food is consistently exceptional. I especially enjoy their sourdough bread paired with cream cheese and smoked salmon. The flavours in their meals are always fresh and well-balanced. The atmosphere is cozy and warm, creating a relaxing environment perfect for dining solo, with loved ones, or even for meetings. The staff is attentive and friendly. They ensure you have a memorable experience, which I appreciate. It's truly a hidden gem that never disappoints. I've tried the blueberry pancakes, chicken and waffles, and the spinach and mushroom crepe. Very yummy food and well priced. There's a great selection from both their breakfast and lunch menu to choose from. Highly recommended!
