Blush Garden Bistro — Restaurant in Trinidad

A beautiful café conveniently located opposite Xtra Food in San Juan. The dining area is beautifully decorated and seating is comfortable. There's a wide variety of breakfast items both local and continental available. The lunch/dinner menu is a bit limited with sandwiches, pastas and salads. The drinks menu was also limited with some items being more overpriced like coffee for instance 30 to 40 dollars from a nescafe machine. The sandwiches were great and serving time was efficient. The dessert menu was also limited with caramel cheesecake and neapolitan cake. The neapolitan cake looked beautiful however it tasted weird with different textures in each layer, it was a harder cake not sure if it's the type of flour they used or if it was stale. The menu also had a great deal of vegan options. I guess as the staff was trying to wrap up quickly the service wasn't as good as they were sweeping and mopping while we were there, the online time of closing was 7pm and around 6pm they were already wrapping up. They didn't indicate the change in closing time to the customers. It was an overall average/mediocre experience. This place was recommended based on their delicous breakfast and great ambience. However, to my ordeal the food tasted soooooooo horrible amd ghastly I could puke. I ordered pasta and it was bitter and tasteless like ingredients ran out. Imagine like the chef just boiled the pasta and season with oil no flavour so disappointing. Who could spoil fruit punch juice which was extremely watery. I also ordered a side of mash potatoes which suppose to be a hot meal came cold and not completely mashed. Big cubes of potatoes standing firm in my bowl. I Did not even eat my meal it was sent back. In my opinion the chef did not take his time to prepare my order and no apology or compensation was given for this lack of competence when i brought it to their attention. Customer service was not that great. A group of us went to have brunch everyone got the dish except for my aunt who is elderly. Ordered a chicken sandwich with french fries half an hour later not getting it . Other people came after us and got the same exact chicken sandwich with french fries. The waitress kept making excuses saying it's coming out the price is not ready did not want to give us a discount and just wanted to offer us a piece of cake for compensation. Terrible...
