Ever since I've started my food trip here in Trinidad and Tobago I've been Introduced to different spots to try different street foods, and came across D' Green shed, tried their doubles, Aloo pie, baiganee, and saheena.
Doubles: Not bad, Channa was a bit excessive but I managed, and really liked their cucumber chutney topping. Aloo pie: The Aloo was cooked well and seasonings were 🤌🏻 Baiganee: Used identical bread as the Aloo pie, but with an eggplant filling. Pretty good! Saheena: Fried pastry with what I learned is taro leaves as part of the filling, might be my top pick for this place!

Read moreFirst time my husband was ordering doubles in Trinidad (he's not trini) and the girl was visibly annoyed because he was trying to get the order correct. I had to take over for him because I didn't realise my husband was ordering attitude instead of doubles. Is that something new on the menu?
I started to place the order and before I could finish what I wanted to say, she kept on walking away. It wasn't even busy.
Did my husband have to be caucasian to know he's not from Trinidad and maybe get better service?
