The curried chicken was well prepared and tasty. The curried shrimp was not well seasoned and a little overcooked. The potato and channa is like a soup which can be difficult to eat with roti. I suppose you can use the soup spoons and sporks available. The meal came with a piece of curried mango. That was very tasty.
Serving portions were fair for the high prices presented. Dine in customers can have the food served in a disposable box, for a small cost. If you use the plates, your serving size appears larger though.
Both the dhalpuri and paratha rotis were tasty. My preference is the paratha. It is soft and not excessively greasy.
The pepper sauce was tasty with a delayed sting, so be careful with that if you're a slight-pepper eater. Use your own spoon though, the utensil available is handled by all and sundry
A regular assortment of sodas is available, and water. You have to request the straws.
The ordering and serving section is very cramped for such a spacious counter. It mixes into trying to order and the cashier raising her hand at you to wait, waiting to collect, trying to receive your order, trying to get your pepper sauce. This can be sorted with a little re-arranging. In the interim, stay on the right to order then shift left. Overall the food experience was disappointing
The location is off the highway and easy to reach via Mission Road, then Nelson Road. Despite the locale, the shop remains unperturbed from road dust and traffic, with plants added to make the house effect private and serene. The place is kept clean with tables quickly cleared and cleaned. The washrooms were also sanitary although it all looked in need of an upgrade.
The server from the kitchen section was pleasant and looked quite shocked to be told so. The waitress clearing the tables was very pleasant and accommodating, and also shocked to be complimented.
The cashier however spoilt the experience and thus captured the three stars. Grumpy and unprofessional. I made two trips to the cashing bay and both times the experience was the same. And she was consistent with her unpleasantness toward her other customers. ...

There are actually 3 items (in addition to the roti)!!! HA! Good luck. How cheap do you have to be to not "splurge" on the containers with sections. Maybe they like when the chicken is floating around in everything.
Secondly, they got my order wrong. No idea how they managed this. It wasn't busy, nobody was waiting on their order, there was not even anybody else in the line! Now understand why no line.
Thirdly, their location is very out of the way, it is on a verryyy narrow dead end street and there isn't much parking. Luckily there weren't much customers either, lol, so I got a good spot.
Also, they do not accept cards as a means of payment. Cash only. Reminder I live in the third world.
Otherwise the food tasted pretty good. This was the only...
Read moreThe absolute best roti, they serve hot freshly wrapped roti, the roti is not too oily and thier sauces are superb. The restaurant has an open air style dine in environment and most if the times they have an air conditioning running to keep things relatively cooler than normal. Thier tables are always clean and well kept, there is one washroom that's is well kept and clean. Wait times here are usually about ten to fifteen minutes to receive your food depending on the complexity of your order. There is also a doubles stall right outside of the compound, they are sometimes there, other times they are not. There is also a portable photo shooting area so you can get photos taken for your drivers license and among...
