Food is traditional Turkish fare and is excellent. You would be hard pressed to find such quality in Istanbul, let alone Bodrum. Nothing wrong there...

I don't mind paying top dollar for good food. Even so, Kismet's gotten ridiculously expensive. In my opinion, it no longer represents value for money.
Another issue is availability. If you come around noon, it's hard to get a table. After 3.00 PM, the lunch crowd leaves and seating is much more relaxed. Yet, that's also when the most popular dishes run out and the remaining choices are limited. Your best bet would be to show up slightly before noon.

Bodrum is expensive and I am willing to pay for quality, though here, after so many years, I felt ripped off badly. In December 2025 I paid 945 TL for 1 plate of green beans (no meat), 1 plate bulgur pilav, 1 plate with 5 greens and 1 water. Never again.

Read moreService was confusing you would orddr at the counter the.n wait half hour for the Waiter to bring your food that is already prepared and then you need to pay at the front where they have no idea what you ordered and try to charge you for another tables food that was twice our bill.
The food was poor quality. They didn't even bother to clean the watercress and served it with the hard stems when only the leaves are to be used in this particular dish. The bread was so hard that we couldn't even tear it into 2 pieces.
