We travel often and enjoy everything from local favorites to high-end dining, so we were genuinely looking forward to trying this place. At first glance, it looked promising — elegant design and clearly trying to present itself as an upscale restaurant. Unfortunately, the reality didn’t match the image.
The female manager’s attitude was unexpectedly rude and dismissive, which set the tone for the rest of our visit. There’s a fine line between confidence and arrogance — and she crossed it.
The biggest disappointment, though, was the food. It was completely bland — not even seasoned with salt. For the price point, we expected well-executed dishes, not meals that lacked even the most basic flavor. It felt like all the effort went into presentation, with no attention to taste.
That said, the waiters were the only bright spot. They were clearly hardworking, respectful, and doing their best under difficult circumstances. Their professionalism stood out, and they deserve five stars for their service — it’s unfortunate their efforts are overshadowed by poor management.
We’ve been road-tripping through Edirne, Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, and several smaller towns, and this was the only place where we felt such a strong atmosphere of entitlement — both from the management and some of the clientele. A staff member casually mentioned that the restaurant caters mostly to diplomats and wealthy locals, as if that excused the attitude. It didn’t.
It’s disappointing to see a place where image and status seem to matter more than genuine hospitality and quality. Sigaradan rahatsız olmayacağımızı beyan ettim bu seferde yanınız da çocuk olduğu için sigara içilen bölüme almıyoruz dediler. Peki dedik manzaradan yoksun içerde bir masaya oturduk. 5 dakika geçmeden çocuklu bir aileyi bizim geçmek istediğimiz sigara içilen bölüme kabul ettiler. Çocukları benim çocuktan çok ufaktı, zannedersem 8 yaşlarında, benim kızım 11 yaşında. Yani uzatmayım adamına göre işlem yapıyorlar. Kutsal olan emek karşılığı tüm emek sarfedenlere bahşiş bırakırım fakat bu kabalıklarından dolayı ilk defa bahşişsiz ayrıldım bir mekandan. Sadece Saab marka arabamın kontak anahtar yerini bulabildikleri için valelere teşekkür ettim gerekeni yaptım. Dediğim gibi bu tip bir ağırlama sorun değilse...
