This was the second time we went to Shahika for breakfast and I was pleasantly surprised with the food, not only the ambiance. It was fairly crowded, and I was happy that this new entrepreneurial endeavour was gaining traction. The owners are also the owners of Belmuar, another breakfast place on the way to Sutlegen near the Sifasu Cesme. First of all, Bezirgan is a favorite town of mine around here because of its openness, unspoiled old village flavor with its stone buildings, and the absence of street dogs. Murat, the proprietor has rented an old building, did a lot of renovation and created a cosy, rustic garden with a scatter of tables amongst some antique furniture pieces, doors, wheels, etc. Food, when brought in and spread on the table, its eye pleasing and the flavors are varied and shows some care was taken in choosing, the spices, the olives, the tomato paste, etc. The service is friendly, yet it could be a little slow when it is crowded. Nestled in a simple little village over the hill just 20 minutes from the madness of Kalkan, is this most remarkable and tranquil restaurant. Hidden and off the beaten track, this magical and enchanting garden is the setting for the most incredible gastronomic offering.
There is a set menu so do let them know in advance if you are vegan or veggie. Annoyingly we were too excited to take any decent photos that truly capture the experience, apart from the menu, which you will see was mouthwatering.
We were there in the evening, for our final and most delicious meal of our holiday. Do book, as they will only serve a small number of people. The concept is to give their guests a unique and personal dining experience, in which they succeeded 100%!

Read more2 words (to start with) GO THERE! If you do one thing while in the area, please treat and indulge yourself. I am not a 'foodie', but I am thinking of becoming one due to this amazing restaurant. Set in a rustic garden, (everywhere you look there is another quirky bit of decor) the atmosphere can not be described. Very well, I'll try... Tranquil, vibrant, friendly, professional. All the dishes have a story... lemon jam made by the owner's mother, the local cow produces the yoghurt, honey, complete with honeycomb... The dishes were bought out, so many of them, each complementing the others. Then, as the brunch progressed, different dishes were added, more and more exquisite tastes. Rosehip jam. Whaaaat! As you may have gathered, this was my favourite meal of my life! Thank you to T&T for treating us. Thank you to the Chef for his amazing vision and food... and his wonderful staff. We...
