We checked in on Friday evening. The dinner is not included to the room rate but it is fine we had a nice experience, the food was delicious. Our room was on where the pool was, and located on the upper floor. The room was clean. On Saturday morning we had breakfast and it was good as well. We found out that the hotel part is rented and operated by some other people. In the afternoon we had the wine tasting which was again enjoyable. During the tasting we saw a police car and then when we asked about the situation we were informed by the waiter that some afgan refugees were seen in hotel area where our room was located. This was not a nice feeling for us and we felt a bit uncomfortable but not so suprised because it is not a gated community. At night when we returned from dinner we entered our room and as soon as we turned on the lights we saw 3 bats. We went crazy! Called the reception asap but it took minutes for someone to come to check the room. And when he came in he has informed that bat was seen in another room before which is totally not my problem!!! Then we asked for another room and again it tooks minutes for him to find the lady who deals with the reservations. Then he told us that they can find a room in one of their hotels in Selcuk-İzmir. We did not accept it and we found a place for ourselves in DoubleTree Hilton. When we were checking out the lady asked us to pay for 2 nights (we were going to stay for 2 nights) and of course we did not accept it and paid only for 1 night and left! They did not even apologize for the situation! It was very unprofessional! I will never again stay in this hotel and will never recommend it to my friends! If you want to go and taste the wine and have dinner that’s OK because we were tokd that the real owners of the YediBilgeler are responsible for those services! It was again very rude of the lady who is at the reception to ask for 2 nights fare and not even...
Read moreI wanted so badly to love this experience, and planned to propose to my girlfriend here. This entire place was a nightmare! We were very excited driving into the main entrance. The first surprise came upon learning our Executive Suite was very far from the main house. It was very confusing, but eventually made our way to the highly disappointing suite. We were greeted by swarms of mosquitos upon entering our kitchen, followed by a few deceased mosquitos and unidentifiable bugs on the living room’s floor and sofa. I’ve attached photos. The bathroom reeked of bug spray and was very outdated- nothing at all like the pictures they advertised. The bed- dead bugs on the white sheets. Photo attached. My girlfriend was uneasy about all of this, and to top it off, there is no WiFi as advertised. When we called the manager, he told us to use the bug spray in our closet. The restaurant was nice but there were multiple power outages (blackouts). We decided to go back to the room and the WiFi still was not working. Mosquitoes were still flying and more bugs were found on the pillows. We asked to be moved to another room - manager said it would be the same issues with the bugs and WiFi. Both owner and property manager apologized and promised we would be refunded, as we departed less than one hour after checking in, and even gave us contact information. They lied! After speaking with Expedia, they refused to refund us because they claim it...
Read moreWe have mixed feelings about this hotel.|On the positive side: you are next to a beautiful vineyard and the pool is pretty well maintained.|Also, the breakfast was pretty good.||On the negative side, the guestrooms are down a steep hill from the car park and there is not a paved side walk or path! You have to walk on uneven stones on dirt. You have to carry your suitcases... you cannot pull them on the dirt. (I cannot even imagine how bad the experience would have been if there had been rain!)|No one prepared us for that.||The staff were unprofessional and not very friendly. Only the young man at night was kind to us and took interest in us. No one else. We did not encounter anyone during the three days we were there who asked us how our stay was going. It seems they lack a leader.||We tipped the ladies at breakfast and that did not seem to improve their service the next day. Sadly, they lacked skills in English.||The guestrooms were clean but old. Bathrooms, however, need a good scrubbing from years of moisture.||Unfortunately, they really did nothing to win our return business. ||Would we go...
