I actually really liked the interior design- it gave off strong Bali vibes with the thatched roof details, tropical plants, and an airy open layout. For a moment, we genuinely felt like we’d been transported somewhere far more exotic than Sakarya. It’s clear they put thought into creating a chill, tropical escape, and it definitely worked on us.
Their strongest selling point is the branding. From the logo and menu to their social media presence, everything is polished and professionally done. And let’s be real- in marketing, branding is half the battle.
Now, on to the food: it’s average at best. The chicken satay was especially disappointing- it resembled Turkish shish kebab more than anything remotely Indonesian. The menu offers a wide variety, so you're definitely spoiled for choice, but the flavours fall flat. Most dishes lacked the bold seasoning you'd expect from Southeast Asian cuisine. Read morePortion was small but completely acceptable considering it's price since meat prices are high... Still, I'm not Indonesian but rendang taste was nothing like rendang I have ever eaten. Multiple times at Manado, Jakarta and other then those, I had twice at Indonesian embassy in Ankara, once in an embassy worker's house and once from our very close friend, all had the same taste but rendang here not even close to those. Amount of bumbu² they use were very less and not spicy at all. Rice beside it only had yellow color, not different taste than plain rice. Unfortunately I left the place with a very big disappointment since I went with very big hope. I only hope now, they take comments here seriously and improve the place other than heating up. 2 stars for the view they have from balcony and...
Read moreBeautiful, well decorated restaurant, i really like the vernacular Indonesian decorations it gives me Bali vibes lol. it’s very well located, a few miles from campus so i think it’s strategically placed to attract university students. The view from the terrace is beautiful, the staff are super welcoming, it’s my go to place for meet ups. The food is affordable but my only problem is the delayed delivery. Last time i went with my friend we almost left without eating. We waited for an hour, yes an hour, just to be served. Should maybe increase their staff in order to speed up the...
