Terrible experience at this restaurant. Poor customer service, mediocre food, and way overpriced. We ordered three smoothies, and they tasted like they were made from a powder mix, not fresh ingredients. The conch ceviche only came with 4-5 plaintain chips. The conch wantons were good. The best thing we had there, in fact. We also ordered a fish sandwhich, which clearly stated on the menu included fries and coleslaw, however no coleslaw was brought to the table. When I asked the waitress about it, she just said, “oh, it’s a typo on the menu”. I told her that’s very deceiving, and she never offered to make it right. No bill comp, no coleslaw was brought, barely an apology. In total, my group ordered 3 waters, 3 Virgin smoothies, 2 appetizers and 1 fish sandwhich, and our bill was $140. Even though on Turks and Caicos official website it states anything over a 10% service charge is illegal, this restaurant charges a 15% service fee anyway. There were never any cars in the parking lot when we drove by to go to Omar’s (a restaurant next door that was far superior), and now I know why. Save your time and money and skip this one. There are MUCH better restaurants on the island. The ONLY positive was the pretty view of the beach/ocean.
Edited to respond to the owners remarks: I will take back what I said about the ceviche, I in fact did not know it was raw. However, anytime I’ve ever ordered ceviche, it was not meant to be eaten by the spoonful, it was served with some form of chips/bread (more than a couple of pieces). I never requested or expected 50% of my bill to be compensated, but I do feel you should honor what your menu says. Whether that’s bringing coleslaw, offering a different side item (if coleslaw isn’t available) or offering to take a portion off of the bill (not 50%). Where I come from, that’s not good customer service. I also find it interesting you made no comment regarding the 15%...

Edit to respond to the unprofessional “owner”: you were no where in sight when we were having lunch. There was a couple cooks and a couple servers on the premises and that’s it. So your response asking why we didn’t send it back as if you were there is extremely weird. We did send it back immediately and I’m pretty sure we still paid for the new meal (a cheeseburger) and nothing was comped. It’s absolutely not impossible to find worms in white bottom feeder fish and as an owner of a seafood restaurant, it’s a little disturbing that you don’t know this. Having worms doesn’t necessarily mean the fish isn’t fresh. The fish did not taste good though, so maybe it wasn’t fresh. The cooks are supposed to find them and remove them, which we were told by our kind server who expressed her sincerest apologies about this and mentioned she has to find them and remove them herself at home when she cooks for herself. She also saw the worm. We were with another couple who we met on vacation, and they can also vouch for seeing a worm in the fish. The unprofessional response from an owner instead of showing concern for the wellbeing of the patrons is another reason I would avoid this place at all costs. It’s clear your laziness and arrogance is rubbing off on your workers and honestly, why should they care when they get an automatic service percentage off of everyone’s bills whether the food sucks or not? Heard your place is closing due to business being taken by Omar’s next door and all I can say is...
