Indian Restaurant & Bar Sj's Curryclub Turks and Caicos — Restaurant in Providenciales

This may be a 5 star Indian restaurant in Turks. But it’s no where near as good as it’s rated. We made 7:30 reservations but we were not taken when we arrived. Instead we were told to wait 15 minutes and then given a table to share with another couple because they could not accommodate our reservations made for some reason. I will admit we were a bit early however. Just an FYI this place is tiny and a hole in the wall. Not high end. Can seat maximum 12 people comfortably. We didn’t care about the ambiance as long as we got good Indian food. We ordered the chicken 65, which is supposed to be one of the spiciest Indian chicken dishes from India. There was not even a light kick to it. Our neighbors sitting next to us were served papad before their meal. For some reason we weren’t. Our chicken tikka masala and gobi Manchurian ordered was also not spicy and lacking garlic and flavor. I tried to order a whisky from their menu. They only had one which I didn’t not want. When we finished our meal and asked for the check we asked them to kindly order us a taxi. We paid our bill and were told taxi will be here in 5 minutes. They made us clear the table and wait outside. The taxi did not show up for another 20 minutes. The least they could of done is let us sit in our seats until the taxi actually was coming but clearly they were trying to get us out quickly to make room for the next customer. This place will continue to be popular because it probably is the only place to get Indian food in Turks. This place I would give the food 3/5. Everything else they need to work on/improve drastically. Starting with good customer service! Just an honest review for all people seeing this...

One of the best tasting Indian foods I have ever eaten!!!

We are originally from India and have been living in Chicago for over a decade now. I have travelled to over 15 countries in my lifetime. I must say that SJ's has one of the best tasting Indian foods I have ever eaten. The taste is so authentic and rich that SJ can easily be the best rated Indian food whichever country they operate in. Over the last two days, we have now tried their butter chicken, malabar fish curry and lamb rogan josh. All three dishes were just finger licking delicious.

We have eaten at various restaurants in the area now, including The Deck at Seven Star Resort, Bugaloos, and Conch Shack. While all these places were good in their own ways, nothing beats the food we ate here.

You can both dine in and have the food delivered. Their Website says $50 minimum per person for dining in, but that's not true anymore. You can eat whatever. :)

My husband and I came here about 5 years ago and absolutely loved the food! Fast forward to today and we finally got to come back to Sj’s!

We’ve traveled to over 20 countries and Sj’s as some of the best Indian food we’ve ever tried! Additionally, they have wonderful customer service. Of note, this restaurant is very small, so if you’re hoping to eat here in person I’d highly recommend calling before you head over. They do however offer take-out as a backup option.

We absolutely loved how they have an option for everyone, whether you’re a meat eater, vegetarian or vegan. They also have the menu conveniently labeled as “vegetarian” and “non-vegetarian”. Additionally, many of the vegetarian items are actually prepared vegan, but they’re not clearly marked. So if that’s what you’re looking for, just ask the staff!

Overall, we had another amazing meal! If you’re in Provo, I’d highly recommend...
