Cafe Sofrito is a refined gem that delivers elegant dining in Komamboga, a vibrant and emerging hub for Kampala’s young, affluent middle class. The ambiance is tasteful, with warm lighting, clean décor, and a welcoming layout that strikes the right balance between modern and cozy.
Parking is convenient, with cheerful attendants setting a pleasant tone on arrival. A young waitress promptly and politely guided me to a good table, making for a smooth start to the evening.
The menu, however, could benefit from greater flexibility. I was seeking a low-carb option, and while the young waiter was helpful and attentive, the choices felt limited. It’s also a good place for the family and friend diner. As well as...

Great choice.
Café Sofrito is becoming my neighbourhood hideout for remote work. The waitresses are kind as well, and the washrooms are...
