Being a frequent guest at Reef yet there was not too much to complain about except that earlier for some reason there were few different prices for same dishes in the english and russian menu. I could in past also always recommend my friends to go to Reef and they listened my words and were not disappointed... Seems that things have recently changed there to the negative. Service quality in terms of waiters/waitresses to be able to provide the guests a standard service nearly not existent. Seems most have never worked in service and are not very attentive. Having had so many waiters/waitresses there till now only a small asian-type waitress can be recommended because she always did everything well and with enormous attention to her guests in all belongings. There are some dishes now on the menu where a guest really might start think if he got cheated by the restaurant after ordering them. One great example is the "assortiment of warm sea food" as a starter for 475UAH which more or less contains only one single shrimp, two black mussels with shell and a few other pieces of small mussels meat without shells. The rest makes an extreme oversalted sauce. In comparison with similar dishes in different Odessa restaurants this one really not worth more than 200UAH with a lot of goodwill. Totally overpriced and a shame for the Reef menu selection to offer such. So now it is clear why there is not one photo of this dish on the REEF Instagram site... a shame to present it there... Be aware ordering this dish!!! Who as a guest is not reading the menu properly and or is ordering a "Greece Salad" thinking to get a standard greek salad will also be not very happy. Reef serves this classical salad WITHOUT any piece of feta and even WITHOUT a single olive. On the just half covered plate guests will find some little white spots of a so called feta-cream which has taste like a standard mayonaise and really seems to have nothing to do with feta at all. And there is on plate a teaspoon of a pulp made from olives. The pulp tasted like olives. Interesting who had the idea to replace feta and olives from this so popular salad and for which reason. Probably cheaper to prepare and lasts longer in fridge than real olives & feta. Having this feta-creme and olive pulp on a salad not makes out of the restaurant an Haute Cuisine restaurant. This is a ridiculous try. What can be recommended are the meals with salmon, they are prepared tasty way and salmon was always tender like butter, never grilled too much till it was dry and "dead". So having ordered these dishes now for sure over 30 times nothing went wrong. Also vegetables from grill are tasty and portion size normal and not cheating-type... Also we can recommend the standard Cesar salad which is fair priced and has a great taste and quality and does not yet come only half covered on the plate like the greece salad does. To the dishes are served different salad leaves on the plate. They come totally dry without any dressing. Waiters also NEVER bringing oil and vinegar along with such plates to the table. It is always necessary to ask. Who can be happy with salad leaves without dressing, without oil and vinegar? Rabbits? We did not see them as guests... And in addition, if there is not already standing salt and pepper on the table... Till now never any waiter got idea to have an attention on putting salt and pepper to the table. It was always necessary to ask to bring it over. Even not having worked till now in service sector this should be easily understandable for waiters/waitresses that this belongs to a basic service... Most upsetting occurrence happened last evening. We had given two pieces of salmon to the waiter to pack it together to take it home. At home we had to notice they gave us just ONE piece. No idea what happened with the second one, maybe it fell on floor and they threw away then or a cat has stolen it. But even then the waiter should tell the guests about it. From my point of view this is absolutely intolerable and nothing else...
Read moreIt was my birthday yesterday and my fiancé Oksana suggested this place for my birthday. It’s a great place when you want to entertain yourself or make a party for sure. Only problem is when we see the check. We ordered two Campari & two orange juice at the beginning then we added one more Campari shot. There is 3 orange juice & 3 Campari. We think it’s normal they are busy and shared this mistake with our waiter (Daniel), but we surprised and shock the answer, there is no mistake, your glasses are big so each glass is 1.5 orange juice, so total 3 orange juice is normal :))) He is smart! Honesty I did not expected this answer but I did not want to argue with him on my birthday night! But it’s a shame for such a good restaurant &bar and I believe the owner and the management need to know about that! First we did not order 3 orange juice, second he needs to tell this to the customer at the beginning, if they have big glasses (like 1.5 size) for orange juice which is ridiculous obviously. I paid 300 gravni for one extra orange juice and also paid more than enough tip because it’s not my style, and also it’s not fault for other...
Read moreОтличное место с вкусной кухней, но есть нюансы... Заказывали столик, на летней террасе чтобы полюбоваться морем и вообще чтобы осталось приятное впечатление. Когда приехали нам предложили парковочное место прямо напротив ресторана. Хостес любезно поговорила с нами и провела нас до нашего столика. почти сразу подошел официант (девушка). Мы попросили меню и сразу заказали коктейли. Довольно быстро их принесли и мы заказали закуски (Тартар из красной рыбы, щучью икру и общую сырную тарелку и 2 салата с овощами, кедровыми орешками и моцареллой). Блюда тоже не особо долго заставили себя ждать. Все вкусно и отлично. Но позже, официанта приходилось звать каждый раз. В частности мы заказали коктейли, и довольно долго их ждали. В итоге одного коктейля не оказалось. Но еще более мы были разочарованы тем что почему-то на летней террасе не подают суши (если что место на улице отведено для Паназиатской кухни). Как сказала нам официант, их подают только в главном зале. Мы попросили узнать можно ли пересесть в основной зал и есть ли там места. Снова ожидание. Пока мы снова не позвали официанта и в итоге только когда подошла Хостес. Нас попросили расплатиться в этом зале и уже тогда перейти в другой зал. В этом нету проблемы, но не совсем понятно почему два счета в одном и том же заведении... Нас встретили у входа в холле разместили в основном зале. Как ни странно, новый официант сказал нам, что это тоже зал паназиатской кухни... Тогда в чем разница спрашивается? Оформление и интерьер очень красивое, с приятной музыкой и обстановкой. Заказали роллы (4 ролла и креветки в соусе на шпажке). Вся еда была вкусной и красиво оформленной. Замечательный тартар из красной рыбы! Очень вкусный салат с кедровыми орешками и свежими овощами. Приятная щучья икра с гренками, но сама икра содержала многовато масла. Вкусная сырная тарелка, особенно сыр с трюфелем и сыр зеленый песто. Роллы были поданы в разных тарелках и были очень вкусными, особенно банзай и тот что с креветкой темпура внутри политый соусом. Креветки приятные, не передержанные. !!!Очень приятное и хорошее место чтобы провести вечер!!! Но необходимо где-то указывать что в летней террасе нету суши например. Возможно это где-то и указано, но при обычном рассмотрении сайта и ознакомлении с меню данного предупреждения замечено не было.
