2025 edit: Things are slowly improving—you can finally enjoy a drink outside, and there’s live music on some nights. The staff remain as lovely as ever, which is a definite plus.

However, the pricing still needs serious work. A single beer at the standard rate is just too expensive. There are various deals throughout the week, but they feel overly complicated for semi-regular visitors. The best deal—Residents Night—offered a fair price but has unfortunately been removed.

What this place really needs is straightforward, reasonable, and consistent pricing.

To put it in perspective:

1. A single beer here costs more than a cocktail in Yas Marina.
2. If you’re with someone else, it’s usually cheaper to take a return taxi to Al Bandar and grab two pints at Tikki after work.

The atmosphere is improving, but until the pricing becomes more reasonable, it’s hard to justify coming here regularly.

2024: The staff have always been nice, I've hit an passable dish on occasion, and seems there is at least one drinkable draft beer now. But this place needs proper management, and some/any sort of direction. Its an Irish sports bar with bright white Mediterranean styling interior/school cafeteria vibe and a canoe. Abu Dhabi has really started to put thought into its establishments. It's a shame that this place seems to lack any. The local community deserves...

I would like to reply directly to the owners response of Patricia O'Byrnes review to correct some untrue statements made, since I was there too.

1. That was not streaky bacon. That was some sort of barely cooked fat with a little bit of meat hanging on for dear life off the edges of the copious slices of raw white fat. You can't reframe this Mr Owner as the photo is quite clear. Anyone who clicks on the photo and magnifies will make their own mind up.

2. You did not give us the meal for free because we would not accept that. You tried, but since we had consumed some of the dubious food from which to form our opinions and then had to use the drinks to get rid of said taste, we insisted on paying for what we had used. We gave the waiter DHS 100.00 to cover the drinks at least.

3. We gave you detailed, cool, calm feedback and gave specific examples of where a pork breakfast / fry can be found in Abu Dhabi so that perhaps you can go there and experience the quality that you need to.

In closing, its obvious that there are other things that customers enjoy about your menu but the items that we sampled on the day that we were there were a clear "off day" for your extablishment. While we appreciate and accept your apologies and hope that this serves to help you raise standards, please be accurate in your published reponses...

We went here for the breakfast deal. It is 99 pp and this included your choice of one of their breakfast meals ( three of us went for the Irish brekkie and one for the smashed avocado and poached egg on toast). The staff were very attentive and allowed us to swap items on the breakfast for no extra cost. It was a big breakfast and all delicious. They even allowed me to have a veggie omlette instead of eggs. They asked me exactly what I wanted and included it all. Food didn’t take too long and it all tasted equally delicious. We only had teas and juice but this is an awesome place where you can have house beverages instead… so could be a great option for hair of the dog! This breakfast deal goes all day (until 6pm) so you don’t have to rush to get there before midday either It’s is a nice location over looking the water.
