In a quiet part of Ras Al Khaimah, Vietnamese Chef Restaurant offers something increasingly rare in the casual dining scene — honest food made with care and cultural integrity. Modest in setting but confident in execution, this small eatery brings Vietnamese home cooking into clear focus without trying to impress through excess.

We began with Gà nướng sả. The lemongrass chicken was grilled to a tender finish with a slightly crisped exterior. The marinade was well balanced, allowing the citrus and herbal notes of the lemongrass to come forward without overpowering the natural flavour of the meat. Every bite delivered warmth, freshness, and subtle smokiness.

The Phở gà followed, and it quickly became clear that the kitchen understands the importance of broth. Clear, clean, and deeply aromatic, it was a broth that had clearly been simmered with intention. The chicken was soft but not overcooked, the rice noodles smooth and resilient. Garnishes of herbs and lime were fresh and served with restraint, allowing the base broth to remain the star.

The Bún thịt nướng brought a welcome contrast. Cold vermicelli noodles were paired with grilled meat, fresh herbs, pickled vegetables, and crushed peanuts. The nước chấm dipping sauce was delicately balanced with just the right acidity and sweetness to pull the dish together. It was both light and satisfying, with every element in proper proportion.

Cơm nếp xoài was served as our first dessert. The mango was sliced at perfect ripeness and the sticky rice was warm and delicately infused with coconut cream. There was no excess sugar or embellishment, just a simple and well-composed finish to the savoury dishes that came before it.

The second dessert, a Vietnamese version of chè, was one of the most pleasant surprises. Served chilled in a tall glass, it brought together soft jelly cubes, tropical fruit pieces, toasted nuts, and a scoop of vanilla ice cream. It was not overly sweet. Instead, it leaned into texture and contrast. The result was refreshing and unexpectedly elegant.

Service throughout was attentive and respectful. The dining room was modest but well-kept, and the atmosphere remained calm even as the tables filled. What stood out most was not any single dramatic presentation but rather the consistency of flavour and the respect for traditional technique.

Vietnamese Chef Restaurant does not attempt reinvention. It focuses instead on getting the foundations right. For diners seeking quiet confidence, clean flavour, and a menu rooted in real Vietnamese cooking, this is one of the more promising new establishments in...

I had a really enjoyable experience at this Vietnamese restaurant. From the moment I walked in, the space felt calm and inviting. The décor was simple yet tasteful, creating a cozy atmosphere perfect for a relaxed meal.

The menu had a good variety of options, and everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. The service was friendly and efficient. The staff were polite, helpful when I had questions about the menu, and made sure everything was just right without hovering too much. It’s always nice to feel welcomed and taken care of without any pressure or rush. Portions were generous, and the prices felt reasonable for the quality and freshness of the food. It’s clear that care is put into both the cooking and the customer experience.

Overall, this is a great place to enjoy a comforting, well-cooked Vietnamese meal in a peaceful setting. I’ll definitely be returning and would gladly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxed dining spot with...

We had a fantastic dining experience at this charming Vietnamese restaurant. It’s a cozy, family-friendly spot that instantly makes you feel welcome. The staff were incredibly warm and attentive, making us feel right at home from the moment we walked in.

We started with the starters tasting menu, which was absolutely amazing — a great way to sample a variety of flavors. Each bite was fresh, vibrant, and beautifully presented. The main courses*didn’t disappoint either — everything was cooked to perfection, with fresh ingredients and authentic Vietnamese flavors shining through in every dish.

The service throughout our meal was exceptional — friendly, fast, and genuinely caring. There’s a great variety of dishes on the menu, so there’s something for everyone, whether you're new to Vietnamese cuisine or a regular fan.

Highly recommended for anyone looking for a delicious, wholesome meal in a relaxed and...

This Vietnamese restaurant is an absolute gem! It’s owned by a lovely Vietnamese family from Hanoi, and you can taste the authenticity and love in every bite. The food was so fresh, incredibly flavorful, and full of that rich, comforting taste that instantly brings you back to Vietnam. The true star of the night was the salt coffee — oh my goodness, it was out of this world! The moment I took the first sip, it felt like I was transported straight back to Hanoi. I was honestly speechless; for a few moments, I couldn’t even talk because it was that good. Later, the chef and owner told me they actually bring their coffee all the way from Vietnam, and you can tell. I’ve never had Vietnamese food this authentic and delicious outside of Hanoi. Every detail, every flavor was perfect. Truly an unforgettable experience, and I can’t wait to go back!
