The Duck Hood is a hidden gem that every food lover in Dubai should experience! From the moment you step inside, you’re greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere that sets the stage for a delightful dining experience.

The menu is centered around duck, and each dish showcases the versatility and deliciousness of this ingredient. The signature Peking duck is a must-try – it’s perfectly cooked with crispy skin and tender, flavorful meat. The accompanying pancakes and hoisin sauce complement the duck beautifully, creating a mouthwatering combination.

Apart from the Peking duck, there are numerous other duck-based dishes that are equally impressive. The duck bao buns are a standout, with soft, fluffy buns filled with succulent duck and fresh, crisp vegetables. The duck salad is also a refreshing and tasty option, balancing rich flavors with light, zesty notes.

The service at The Duck Hood is exceptional. The staff is attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable, always ready to provide recommendations and ensure you have a great dining experience. The ambiance is chic and modern, making it a great spot for both casual outings and special occasions.

Overall, The Duck Hood offers a unique and delightful culinary adventure. Whether you’re a duck enthusiast or just curious to try something new, this restaurant promises to deliver a memorable meal. Highly...

Given the fact it was Easter Sunday , COVID restrictions apply, it was relatively busy but with fewer seats seemed relatively empty inside, there were quite a number of large tables outside,

first visit and I honestly expected a better standard all around for quality of food, and service.

we ordered a main of Roast beef and a pudding, the food was definaltly plentiful, roast parsnips and carrots were very good, beef was good quality and the Yorkshire puddings are a lovely huge contribution, food was luke warm, service was shockingly slow and completely disorganised - the only really nice thing that peaked my interest were the bottles of sparkling water served in reuseable glassware

shame really - I was possibly expecting too much and in my head I expected more of a homely feel, due to COVID the tables are possibly misplaced and I felt like I was sat in a corridor.

the Guy shouting at the football screen wasn't a bonus and I hate that kind of atmosphere - reminded me of a pub in Barsha Heights - with nicer decor.

food 6/10 service 4/10 atmosphere/overall feel for me - 3/10 @ probably won't...

I was in love with the place the first time I came, feels relaxing and enjoying at the same time. I love the open air dining experience with the lake view and cool breeze of air that let's you connect with the nature while dining.

Food was amazing. Appearance, expectation and the taste is fantastic. Flavors and spices is exactly what I expected from the dishes served, It feels sophisticated to have these dishes.

I love the way their services delivered, accuracy of the order specially with specific instructions, allergies and a bit of customization.

I want to commend the one who serves our dishes that had good engagement during our dining on that day. His name is Moyna. He did a great job from making sure we are comfortably welcomed, directed us and even suggested us to enjoy and feel relaxed with the best areas in the restaurant up to taking our orders precise and checking on us every time to make sure we enjoy every moment.

Over all I am happy, satisfied and surely will recommend the restaurant and the staff to my Friends...

I’ve been here three times, and the atmosphere is great. The location is such a peaceful place. The staff was friendly and attentive, and the place was spotless. However, they really need to improve the food menu 😅. I tried the burger yesterday, and it was very disappointing—just plain meat, a huge patty, lots of salad, lots of onion, and a sauce that tastes like ketchup. We asked for medium, but it came congratulations (well done). For the burger, they could use a softer bun, a more flavorful patty, and a sauce with more depth than just ketchup. So yeah, I would definitely visit more often if they improve the food quality. In the end, the reason I go out to eat is for the experience and to enjoy something I can’t make myself. But the burger, schnitzel, chicken burger, and a few other things I’ve tried are very, very basic. The fries, however, were crisp and well-seasoned, which was a plus. With some work on the food, this could easily become one of my go-to spots.

Underwhelmed. You cannot reserve a table. Which is not ideal if you are with children or dogs. It was already packed by 2pm. Fortunately someone was just leaving so had a nice table outside in the shade. The staff were lovely, however they were not able to serve the fish and chips as my friend has a shellfish allergy and could not guarantee there would not be cross contamination. They also forgot one of our drink orders. An alternative was offered from their other restaurant of the children’s fish a chips which was more like fish fingers and fries. The roast was pleasant enough, however had to ask for horseradish, which arrived half through the meal. The portion is very generous. There are better roasts around in my opinion. The pie and mash was great. Lovely pastry and flavoursome filling. A nice addition would be to serve with a pot of gravy. It’s a great venue and love the decor and the garden is great especially if you want to take your dog.

Sunday roast at The Duck Hook, unlike most I wouldn't automatically give a 5 star review because ro get that everything should be exceptional, whereas my experience was good but not exceptional. You can't fault the service, it's second to none, you can't fault the venue and cleanliness, and you can't fault the atmosphere, which again is not 5 star but it's very good, quiet and perfect for a famimy meal. The roast come with all the sides, including those we all get but never eat, parsnips! Portion sizes are good, but the meat to veg ratio could do with sine improvement. The desserts are great, the sticky toffee pudding was near on perfect, even if tou, as I ded, ask for custard rather than ice cream.. sadly the custard was very runny but very tasty. Recommendation.. get the sour dough bread, it's hot and fresh. All round a a good family roast dinner, even if you are the only family in a gastro pub wearing kandora and abayas.
