This place you will find live cockroaches 🪳 🪳 🪳 🪳 🪳under your table which will start crawling on the top of your table once you order your food especially in the boat type family sitting area. It is pretty dark & cosy there, good place for cockroaches 🪳 to grow. Hygiene is zero. I can understand 1 cockroach ( that tooo not acceptable in restaurant business but still will give it benefit of doubt) but there were literally 5-10 small babies roaming on the wall adjacent to our table. Ewww!! Can’t forget the sighting. I couldn’t eat at such a filthy restaurant. We just left the food incomplete after complaining with our 2.5 months old baby. Good they did not charge us. Please let me know how do I complain this to the government body? The worst restaurant in entire UAE. I have had food at smaller restaurants than this before but have never experienced such a dirty place in my life back in India also. I completely forgot to take pictures of cockroaches because I was accompanied by my 2.5 months old baby. Zero recommendations. Please be careful!!! Especially while sitting in boat family sitting area. I wrote a review about this restaurant two years ago and my overall experience was average, except for the ambience, In between, I attended a birthday party here.

I visited again last week and noticed that not much has changed. The food quality was still average. I ordered a beef dish from the menu, but what I received was a normal beef roast with a small portion. We expect at least a properly made porotta from a thattukada, but even that was not cooked well. I ordered a strong tea with less sugar, but what I got was a normal tea loaded with sugar and it was not even hot. When I asked about it, the staff admitted it was actually prepared for someone outside who had not picked it up yet. I couldn’t drink it, my daughter enjoyed a portion as a dessert 😜.

I left with the same impression as before: the average taste of food and not worthy, nothing special.

Many people visits this place because of the houseboat themed ambience featured in their advertisement. Also, there are not decent alternatives in the nearby area.
