(THIS IS AN UPDATE TO MY OLD REVIEW BELOW: We went again to the twisted olive two days later after our first visit. We are training at the archery academy so we thought we might as well give it another shot. We went on Friday morning and ordered breakfast. We got the mushrooms on toast and the bruschetta. The food was really nice, which was better than our expectations. the coffee was spectacular like last time. However, when we requested the bill, the manager requested to speak to me on the phone regarding my previous review. She was very receptive and open for feedback. She discussed my comments and asked if they can make our meal complementary as a āthank youā for returning again to the restaurant and for our feedback. I thought it was a very professional way for the restaurant to handle their customerās feedback. Hopefully, as we keep going back during our training, we would be able to report things getting even better). OLD REVIEW: It was a lovely day for bite in the fresh air. I had been to Twisted Olive once, a few years back. I have to say, I was abit disappointed when I came back after those years and there was no upgrade whats so ever to the interior. When we reached, we were the only people in the restaurant. We sat outside by the Golf arena. As a pescatarian, there werenāt many choices to choose from since the āovenā was not working. So that took out all the pizza and flat bread options, which are normally veggie. We opted for the shrimp pasta. It was decent or maybe I had just lowered my expectations by that point. We also got the cheesy fries and again.. it was decent. After the food, we decided to go for coffee and dessert. Now this is where it gets interesting, the coffee was simply amazing! Iām not sure which beans they use, but the coffee even smelled delicious!! So we got excited and ordered the sticky date cake (again, one of two options since the Oven was broken). And genuinely.. thatās when things went south.. like real south! It was.. inedible. Like, we tried.. and tried.. but like.. something was absolutely revolting about it. Iām hoping this was a one off time with our dessert because as regulars to the shooting club, there aināt much...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreIāve been told to visit this place many many times but somehow I was not able to get the time to do so. On Saturday mooring this week finally Iāve got the chance to visit it. And yes, it is one for the very few good places in Sharjah. As it is located in the golf club and it is overlooking the golf course. Twisted Olive has outdoor and indoor seating. Both are nice but donāt lose the chance to set outside whenever the weather is nice. The seats are limited as I couldnāt find place outside. Also inside there are few tables. The food menu is lavish. And they do have really fancy items for breakfast. Not sure about the lunch and dinner as I didnāt try them. The food presentation is nice You can share food here as the platers are bigger than average. Food taste is just above the average. They coffee is nice here. The prices are high. But you are expected to pay in such places. The staff are nice and welling to help. If I got the chance again I may try the...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreExtremely disappointing experience. Me & the family visited the restaurant . At that time, we were the only two groups in the restaurant ā us and a group of kids who walked in at the same time. Despite this, two staff members, including one named āJenaceā, completely ignored us. They went straight to assist the kids and didnāt even acknowledge our presence ā no greeting, no menu, nothing. We stood there waiting, clearly visible, and still got no attention. After few minutes, we decided to leave. Only then did Jenace respond with a sarcastic āThanks for coming,ā which made the situation feel even more disrespectful. There was absolutely no excuse for this kind of treatment, especially when the restaurant was literally empty. I strongly urge the management to review the security footage of Sept 26, between 8:30ā9:00 PM, to see exactly what happened. We were expecting a welcoming dining experience, but instead left feeling ignored and...
