Eventually, after 4 years of trying to get in and sit down I finally made it to this place on my birthday. Tried on Christmas eve but queues were long. Only open 3 days a week so you need to plan a visit. On the Nutbrook trail and surrounded by miles of walks and open parkland. Sausage and bacon sandwich was lovely and coffee was so good I bought a bag of their own-blend beans. Welcomed on arrival and taken to a table in an outside undercover garden area. Great place and very well laid out. Really quite cosy with blankets on offer if you need them. Cakes looked amazing and formed just a small part of a varied menu of breakfast, snack and lunch items.

A lovely little cafe stop located on the nutbrook trail. It's in a prime location with access from 3 different ways. I went for the cheese and homemade chutney sandwich. It was a little ripper I'll tell ya, came with about 10 posh crisps and some coleslaw. Was a decent bit of fodder and filled a hole 🕳 before continuing on our little adventure hike with the dogs. Nice gesture from the local farm 🚜 who were offering out free flowers obviously past there supermarket sell by date. Was going to grab some but then again it was too far a trek back to the car with them bad boys. Ooooo rrrrrrrr ooooo rrrrrrrr I've got a brand new combine harvester!

Situated on the Nutbrook cycle track about a 15 minute walk from Shipley Country Park. Close to the Old American adventure. Is a fantastic stop off Point for coffee and cake plus other coffee shop snacks. First found this during the easing down period of lockdown. It is only open Friday, Saturday and Sunday. The only access to it is by foot or on bike. Has a real safe feel about it during the covid pandemic and well worth the wait if there is a queue to be seated. Seating areas inside and out with pets welcome in the outside area.

We visited the coffee shop today as a party of 4 for some lunch and a coffee while on a walk . Unfortunately we had a very unfriendly interaction with a lady who works there.

We sat at a bench outside of the coffee shop and noticed some blankets. We put a blanket down on our bench when our Whippet puppy jumped up onto the blanket and got a little mud on it. Not a lot, as he wasn’t dirty at all, just a couple paw prints and being a Whippet puppy his paws are tiny so the blanket was in no way ruined.

A lady swiftly came outside and with a sharp tone informed us that blankets were not to be used by dogs. We hadn’t realised and apologised. She replied in a sharp and sarcastic tone ‘it’s fine, I’ll just have to wash it now’, snatched the blanket and stormed over to a shed. Then walked back past our table with an extremely unwelcoming expression on her face, aimed directly at us.

This interaction really took us by surprise, especially as it was an honest mistake that we profoundly apologised for.

This interaction made us feel extremely uncomfortable, unwelcome and very awkward. We didn’t feel comfortable walking into the cafe to order after this interaction so decided to leave straight after.

If we hadn’t apologised and said it was our mistake we could have understood a little more the rude manner in which we were treated but we felt after apologising it was completely uncalled for.

I hope no one else makes an honest mistake when using their blankets and gets treated or spoken to in the same way.

It dampened our day after having visited the coffee shop many times over the past few years when we lived in the area. On this occasion, we had travelled to the area specifically to walk to cafe and to be made to feel so uncomfortable over a blanket which we apologised for using incorrectly was a real shame.

We won’t be returning...

The Nutbrook Coffee Shop is a real gem. Positioned perfectly for a break whilst you are out enjoying some beautiful countryside, whether walking, cycling, running or horse riding. Friendly and inviting, the staff are all lovely, the food choice is varied just the right amount so that there is something you'll like without needing to read through 100s of items! Delicious coffee, ice cream and the cakes.... Just go and try them, you'll soon be heading back for another visit for more! Sit indoors or out it's all lovely, but outside you can watch the birds as they keep well-stocked feeders to attract a range of species.

Child friendly, dog friendly, disabled-accesible...

Well it is nice but expensive and over populated now and the service a tad slow which causes a backlog of customers wating outside.Called today 7/11 and was insulted by a young member of staff embarrassing us at the time for sitting at a table without her permission apparently!!... unfortunately for them there is no instructions from the main door has what to do or go and the staff serving never asked either..it took up too 15 minutes to get our coffee and cake?? Thats why people queue the otherside where you don't see them.. I suggest getting a faster coffee machine and or using the 10plus tables across the way that where empty......NOT be going for...
