Rosie Lee's Cafe — Restaurant in Arun

Deep fried roasts. We have used this cafe often in the past, today we went in for a roast, the word roast being what we asked for, it was £8.80 per meal. I got deep fried 1/4 chicken, deep fried 'frozen' potatoes a frozen Yorkshire and yes 5 veg as advertised but they weren't fresh. My husband had lamb chops he said cheap cuts. The cafe had 3 unsupervised children one being a toddler, and our meal was accompanied by a very loud electronic singing toy, and up turned chair, I understand childcare is difficult but we paid well over £20, and we expect a decent meal and some respect. When we left I mentioned it to the waitress who just said one word sorry!!!! We wont be back , such a shame it was a lovely home cooked...

Nice looking place and lovely staff, however let down by the food. The plates were cold, so the food got cold very quickly too, the sausages were really cheap tasting, nowhere near a decent butcher's sausage and looked like they'd been deep fried. The toast was similar, mass produced square stuff that comes pre-sliced. The "butter" on the toast was like some really cheap margarine/spread. Bacon tasted like it had been cooked twice. Fried eggs were done well but the crambled eggs were unseasoned and overcooked. A shame as I'd had recommendations, sadly will not...

Only the second time of dining at this cafe and ate an English breakfast. I very rarely leave reviews but was so pleasantly surprised while eating there that I felt compelled to comment. The service, food and presentation were all fantastic! The attention to small details are superb coupled with the fact that everything was clean and staff were very friendly.
