The Cabin — Restaurant in Arun

Had a really lovely family lunch here. Took the dog for a walk along the beach and popped in for a drink and some food afterwards. Could not fault the place, very friendly owner and the food was great, originally a bit disappointed that the fish had run out, but was recommended the pork, apple and apricot pie instead by the landlord, and what a treat it was, this really is proper pub food as it should be. Home made and delicious, very nice vegetable side dish, roast potatoes and even a Yorkshire pudding! Not to mention home made gravy. Went here today for a girly lunch with my Mum... we live quite locally but had never been to the Cabin before but after seeing the reviews thought we'd give it a try, it did not disappoint! I can't comment on the food but we booked a table for 4 (2 adults and 2 kids) for a Sunday Roast a few days in advance. On arriving at the booked time we were ignored by the staff and when we finally managed to speak to someone we were told that the kitchen had already closed!!! Apparently a member of staff had made a mistake and shouldn't have taken our booking. The reason for the 1 star is the fact that after speaking to 4 members of staff then finally the manager not one of them apologised for their mistake. Awful...
